I don't think that Bowie wants to meet people who works with Terry Richardson and Karl Lagerfeld and call them "friends" - that's so fake and just eeww. They only hurt the world in a massive way.

He is too intelligent and creative for this ****. And he has dignity.

Sorry, but it's true - he is too good to touch this fake bubble and disgusting pop scene.

Ufffhh. Karl Lagerfeld doesn't hurt the world in a massive way - besides he does more charity than most rich people ugghhhh - and Bowie has his dark sides, flaws and mistakes as well.

Is this really true, how can we be sure it's true? OMG, is the book available anywhere?
EDIT: I'm so sorry, you meant Christina F (very interesting, her whole drug addiction), I thought there was a book about Gaga meeting Bowie LOL, sorry. :rip:

OT: I doubt he likes her. I'm Bowie's #1 fan, but he does seem like he could be a d1ck lol. There have been rumors swirling about him disliking her since she started. His team also super quickly denied having any collab with Gaga once too. His wife loves her though.

I read multiple biographies on Bowie in recent years (I've read four cover to cover) and it's confirmed by a bunch of people he's worked with / been romantic with that he's been quite the @ss from time to time when it came to how he treated some people. Some of it was in response to some professional backlash from former managers and sh!t like that but other times he actually was a d!ck.

I haven't read the most up to date biography I own, but as far as I know there's nothing really in the biographies that confirm how he feels about Gaga. Some of the writers mention Gaga to reinforce the impact of his work, though!

It doesn't surprise me though if he doesn't actually like her.

I remember reading an interview w/ Iman from 2012 and she went on and on about a lot of the girls in the pop scene (Gaga was mentioned) and when they asked him if he likes the same artists, she said no and joked he's stuck in his old ways. Since then, he's shown love for Lorde (which I mentioned earlier) and Iman even mentioned how much they both like her. So.... I'm thinking he doesn't like Gaga very much musically, no idea about her as a person though. At least Morrissey (The Smiths) changed his mind and likes her I guess. :flutter:

All of this is blown way out of proportion.  Someone said they saw on his daughter's facebook page that when she played Gaga he didn't get  it or like it or something like that.  Never that he didn't like her as a person or wouldn't.  She obviously was copying him also in some ways and maybe he didn't get that, or maybe the music of Gaga's he heard he just wasn't a fan of, or maybe both reasons.   It happens.

He happened to meet Lourdes at some event and complimented her because he was impressed with her work..  I am sure if he met Gaga he would be very pleasant to her.   He's very funny and witty and charming and chatty.

Bowie is not a recluse.  He had a heart attack while on a very successful tour in 2004 or somewhere like that and someone died on his tour and someone threw something at him on on stage and injured his eye that was already injured from his early days.  It was a rough year.  He basically retired from touring and spent time being with his young daughter and has sung a few times in the mid 2000s, like 2006 or 2007, once with Alicia Keys and once with a group he really likes and praises, Arcade Fire.

He lives his life in NYC and is at events with his wife, Iman, the model, or around.  He just doesn't give interviews anymore, is all.  I think it has created the mystique that surrounds him again these last ten years and really is what made 2012 The Next Day so exciting to get, a huge surprise,  He had been working on it in secret for two years.  And now he came out with the acclaimed Blackstar this week.  His producer said they had been listening to Kendrick Lamar's album a lot and loved his experimentation.

His legacy (which he's already a musical icon and legend) is even more secured with Blackstar being heralded and coming in the late years of his life.  He and Gaga will meet one day, I imagine, since they both live in NYC, or Gaga at least part-time does..

Dark Anatomy

I don't think he cares for her tbh. Especially since "The Fame" was HEAVILY inspired by his image.

I do love this mashup by some  fan of Lady Gaga's Applause instrumental fused with Bowie's Lady Stardust song from 1972.  It shouldn't work but it does.
