ISIS had accused her of apostasy after her son turned her in, the activists said. She allegedly had been "inciting her son to leave the Islamic State." She wanted to escape with him and told him "that the coalition will kill all members of the organization." She was accused of apostasy just because she wanted to escape from the Islamic state with her son. And yes although the punishment is clear but it doesn't justify what he did to his mother, all what his mother wanted is to leave IS. To make things clear, I'm against death penalties in general.
