I'd like her to get what she deserves and it would be amazing if the GP loves her again! I mean you would see her more often on TV on radio and people would talk about her more, maybe you'd be able to sing along one of her songs with your friends that arent fans of her! I know some of us don't like it, but we're really going to have to start to care about the charts. If we care about it, we care about Gaga's career. In order to be a legend you need memorable hits, which Gaga doesn't really have now. She really has to bring her A game, she can't afford another messy era like BTW or ARTPOP. Yes she can become indie or a B-lister who makes amazing music but she deserves a space in overcrowded history books. Well, imho that was because special ocassion, the last time Roseland will be used as concert venues, as New Yorker, I am guessing she'd feel it's her job to do something big about it. Grand exit for the well respected venue. But yes, I agree with you that she'd do extra miles. I think also people want Gaga to be successful because they use her as a projection device: if she's doing well, they feel better about themselves because they are somehow linked to someone who embodies success for them. Quite sad, really. But as Emma revealed in 2013 as this forum nearly sank: "If you're just here to ride on Gaga's success train, she doesn't even think of you as a fan." Lbr tho this forum cares more about dragging Katy than discussing Gaga's work in a more-than-superficial way. My advice is just to enjoy the music on your own and let go of the idea that this place is used to discuss Gaga. It's not, it's used to discuss why Gaga is better than anyone else. Yes, success doesn't equal happiness but as Gaga said herself, she lives for the Applause, that recognition, she loves it. This is why I personally wish Gaga success, she deserves to be recognised as a good artist and in the pop world, sells are really the biggest recognition you can get alongside awards. Another reason is people find it interesting to see what's popular. It can be interesting seeing how songs grow and fall. I personally don't really care for it but whatever! The other being bragging rights, which is just awful. If you like to brag about an artist selling more records than someone else then just stop following the pop world now because every artist goes through a phase of not shifting as much work as expected and those will hit you hard if you make it so central to your life.
