I believe it would be hard to do anything with guns since America was founded on iolent revolution. many places are founded on violent revolution, but it seems extraordinarily prevalent in American history. We just gave up talking and tea and crumpets.

That doesn't mean I can't disagree with the gun culture in my country. The NRA is a disgusting organization that will do anything to restrict a safer gun culture. 

There's something wrong with this country when there have been so many mass shootings this year.

The NRA is one of America's oldest civil rights organizations with more than 5,000,000 due-paying members. The NRA has heavily promoted a safer gun culture.

Canada and USA have different problems, laws and governments. You live in Canada, you're affected by your country's gun laws not by our gun laws.  You are not part of that "WE" that is being affected by American gun laws so stop acting like you were part of that "WE".

You can't dictate what we need or what we don't need. You don't live here, so you can stop meddling in our businesses because you don't experience what we do.

Yeah, I'm greatly concerned about the push for increased gun control in your country and that goes for all countries. You're not concerned when you hear about Uganda's latest anti-gay law or some new Russian or Saudi bulls--t?

This is intellectual dishonesty in its finest  . "Congress"?   We all know Dickey was THE man of the NRA in the 1990s and even HE has spoken out against the amendment   Its not just the CDC, the law basically restricts anything that might even SEEM to imply a partisan idea (which hurts anti-gun control as well in some ways, and funding to conduct studies on a useful scale is hard to come by if you are not a large organization. Its a slip up of epic proportions tbh. The fact that Congress REFUSES to repeal this speaks to the influence of lobbies in the country, when doctors and Professionals, the President, and even the original creator of the amendment tries to publicly denounce it  

But the best part of this is that the gag order on gun violence research harms those in the NRA (and in the general public) who support safe gun ownership as well as those who support gun-control (and again most people are not as extreme as "TAKE ALL THE GUNZ!" away  ) It's truly a shot to the foot for everyone involved and only ignorance and fear in the form of congress protects this anymore

You don't know me. We own guns in my house and I'm not against guns. I am affected by gun laws, every American is affected by gun laws because they affect our society just like legal d--gs affect every American even if they don't consume them.

You can't compare anti-gay laws with gun control. One affects human rights, the other doesn't. Please think reasonably before you post.

What? How is owning a gun a human right? Explain to me why is owning a gun a human right. Where in the The Universal Declaration of Human Rights there's an article that says that every individual can own a gun?
