5 Syrians arrested in Honduras with fake passports, intended to go to US

Before people spew about how we should me more kind to these immigrants. You also need to think of it this way. What they are doing is illegal  they're using stolen passports and wanting to cross borders without the proper means. While I do feel sympathy for those who've undergone what most Syrians have. I do still recognize that there are immigration laws in place for a reason. Caution is necessary when taking in new citizens. To just allow a group of people to come unchecked into the nation wouldn't be very smart.

Listen. Most countries are very lenient with providing asylum to Syrians.  What makes me wonder that if you know that, why bother and get fake passports rather then clinging onto theirs for dear life and wave it when needed. The good old saying comes to my mind. If u got nothing to hide you not trying to hide. So, what are they hiding?

Uh, that's kind of terrifying. I see no reason they'd try to sneak in from Honduras other that if they were plotting something and didn't want to be tracked/screened. I makes me think all those souther politicians had a point about ISIS sneaking into the US through mexico all along...

I don't think they need it. For an organization like ISIS that has money, they can get into any country without any trouble... Remember that they don't really need 100 people for their attacks...

I think those with fake passports are just economic immigrants from other countries around Syria, using the situation to get asylum. There are many Afghanis, Iraqis too.

Right, but it's not a bad idea and is certainly feasible and would avoid customs checkpoints and official records

You already have sleeper cells in USA, they only need to connect via social media. They wouldn't risk this long trip, it's easy to get caught.
