craig 680
What genre do you think will take over the music scene next?I have a feeling post-25 the scene will change to AC/HACBoring beige sounding music has been the thing since 21. From Lana and Lorde, to Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith. UK has lead the way (Lana was bigger across the pond). No brake-out dance-pop act has arisen since 2011. Someone like Kiesza gets the occasional #1 in UK, but nothing sustained. One trend is for DJs like Avicii to get hits by taking a country or folk song and putting a bit of EDM sauce on it.I think the public will get bored with boring in a couple years.PS: The critic predicted the rise of "The New Boring" and "beige pop" 4 years ago. http://www.theguardian.com/music/2011/oct/08/adele-new-boring-ed-sheeran

I think the public will get bored with boring in a couple years. That's how it has worked since the 90s. There are a bunch of dance acts with massive in the latter half of a decade (Madonna & Michael in the 80s, Britney in the 90s, and Gaga in the 00s), and I think we'll get our 2010s act in 2018-2019. Music tends to mellow out in the middle of the decade, which is what it's done since 2012 for the most part. We'll get a dance resurgence at the end of the decade, I guarantee it. Kermit 15,807
Future bass/ Melodic House is in right now so it'll probably subside to a sub-genre of pop music and just kinda midtempo. “For me, insanity is super sanity.
