Billboard Magazine under fire after sexual joke about toddler North West

Music website Billboard.com drew the ire of Twitter users Friday morning when it posted a since-deleted tweet about Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's 2-year-old daughter, North West, that many read as s-xually suggestive.

Yeah... While the story linked in the tweet is actually an innocuous quick-hit article about North shooing away the paparazzi as her caretaker walks her to a ballet class — "I said no pictures!" the child scolds in a moment captured on video — the wording on Twitter drew a biting response.

A child grows up to be similar to its parents, both in behavior and in physical characteristics. They were clearly making a joke about Kim Kardashian's s-x tape and s-xualizing a 2-year old.

It's not like that there are very little pictures of North and Kim together. They specifically curated this tweet with this picture for "comic" effect. Nothing the media ever does is by chance, everything is calculated to evoke associations and responses. A hell of a lot of people noticed the distasteful association. Just because it took you some time to notice it, doesn't mean it was not there or unintended.
