Carrie Underwood‘s 2016 arena tour will bring her new music to fans in a brand new way. The Storyteller Tour — Stories in the Round will be the singer’s first tour “in the round,” meaning the stage will sit in the center of the arena and fans will surround her.

It’s a concept George Strait made popular throughout his career, and Underwood is hoping it plays well for the 13 songs on her most recent Storyteller album, and her deep catalog of hits. The Storyteller Tour begins on Jan. 30 in Jacksonville, Fla., and runs through May 30 in London, Ont., As she’s done in the past, Underwood is touring during husband Mike Fisher’s NHL hockey season. In previous years she’s taken summers off so they can spend time together.

Easton Corbin and the Swon Brothers will open the tour and $1 from each ticket sold will be contributed to C.A.T.S. Foundation benefit schools and animal charities in her hometown of Checotah, Okla.

“I am so blessed to have this career and get to do to the things I do, but there is nothing like that moment when I get to step onto the stage to sing and all the fans are singing along with me,” Underwood says in a press release.

Tickets for the Storyteller Tour will go on sale Nov. 6 at 10AM local time through AEG Live. See a full list of dates below.

The only UK dates are part of a country music festival. If you just want to see Carrie, do you still have to buy a ticket for the entire 3 day event, or can you buy a ticket for each individual day? Because I'm not paying big money if there's only one act I want to see. I see Carrie is the headliner, so basically, will it be her concert and those other names are just her support acts?

Carrie surprised me so much with her new album. I was never into her before but now I'm changing, along with other names like Maddie & Tae and Kacey Musgraves (pity they won't be involved as Carrie's openers - for some reason, M&T aren't going to the Glasgow date). But I do just want to see the ones I'm interested in. This is a tiny place too, the Clyde Auditorium, so tickets will be limited. And I don't want to wait too long to see if she adds more dates only to find these were the only ones.

Carrie is an amazing live act, I would recommend her if you get the chance! Have you been able to go back and listen to her previous albums?

Whispering

I've been following Carrie off and on since her AI days. I saw her in concert at the start of her career and the last your she had. She has improved greatly over the years, but she was still a bit wooden. For a country concert, there were a lot of bells and whistles that helped cover that up. More than anything...her VOICE is fantastic!  Her live vocals are so great, it doesn't matter that she isn't the best stage performer. Overall, an enjoyable experience!

The only album I've heard in full until now is Blown Away and I wasn't impressed with that, minus 2 or 3 tracks. I can't say I know much of her other work either, but from what I heard, she was a very bland act and I'm not a country fan anyway. But I don't know what it is but in the last 2 years, this year especially, country music's getting better. And this Storyteller album is the best I've heard thus far - a lot of female artists really do make their best work after having a child! Pity that she's still only writing half her album and the best of the best weren't written by her, but as long as I'm getting good music, I don't really mind. She's certainly got a great voice and will probably put on a good show. I'd sure love to hear Choctaw County Affair performed live - that would be epic!

I only wonder how it'll function in this specific venue. The Clyde Auditorium is a theatre set-up with only 3000 seats, so I don't see how she can do this concert in the round that it's being advertised as. Unless, as it's part of a festival, the rules might be different.
