Red 97,978
I am very sorry, but you seem to have no clue what you are talking about. Both Hung Up by Madonna as Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight) by ABBA are CLASSICS! Hung Up was a global MOSTER HIT - and rightly so. It wouldn't get played today so much on German radio or used in shows and clips on German TV, if it wouldn't sound "fresh" anymore. Did I say they weren't classics? They are timeless, they are classic, they are iconic (specially Gimme Gimme Gimme) but they don't sound fresh, they don't sound new, when I listen to Hung Up I love it, I pop my *** to it but I never go like "oh this is so new omg it totally sound like the music I listen on the radio right now omg". You seem to have the misconceptions that good and fresh are synonyms and I dislike Hung Up and GGG! (which is one of my favorite songs of all time )... If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

It does not, it sounds timeless and could be released today. Maybe it isn't really fresh now because of The amount of dance songs on The charts, unlike in 2005 when there was none. But its is certainly not dated.
Qualle1 1,385
The SLAYAGE of Hung Up in Germany was real: # 1 on the official German Single Charts (for 9 weeks) # 1 on the official German Radio Charts (for several weeks). Fresh to me is a song that sounds like nothing that has been done before or somewhat innovative, Hung Up is literally a disco (a genre from four decades agooooo) song that samples another disco song. It is a wonderful song but fresh? No. Madonna was very brave to bring disco back and do something nobody was doing back then tho, props to her. Its innovative version of that genre. And point being, it could be released today.
Qualle1 1,385
In fact, the masterpiece COADF as a whole concept album sounds still so much "fresher" than the trainwreck ARTPOP ever has. TF/TFM and BTW are also masterpieces and sound in my opinion so much "fresher" in comparsion to ARTFLOP. Why? Because these albums are timeless and/or have aged with class! It sounds exactly like a "campy" song from the 70s In my opinion, disco music will always do well cause disco music is good for itself but not because it is or it has be "fresh" or innovative, disco music needs to be groovy and epic as it is. The end. Disco will never be "fresh" but disco will always be great. That's why I am so here for DiscoGa in LG5 #FunkThePunk If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating. To me it sounds like a fresh & innovative interpretation of that genre. Other than that, I agree :) Opinions, opinions
