I understand (kinda) that in the first years you need to win back money for research, but after that you should just keep the price low and not try to win monopolies for personal gain. O yea, he "opened an investigation" into a done deal that everyone is aware of and condemning. It's getting to be a little ridiculous.I find it interesting that this particular medication is getting so much attention. The Hepatits C medication Harvoni that just recently came out is about 1125 dollars for 1 tablet. That's 63,000 dollars for 8 weeks.If the government subsidizes these costs by paying for the tablets based on the price that the company sets, they would make a ton of money. The government should fund the research instead to keep the cost of medications low. But that won't happen. I've also heard it's waaaaaaaaaaaay more profitable for a company to sell treatments for a disease or it's symptoms because the person with the incurable disease depends on it and will be a frequent buyer (obviously) but if they are cured then the company loses it's most loyal customers. I find the whole thing sick, personally. I wonder how many needless deaths will occur because of this, how much misery and financial hardship will take place because some prick with no dick wants to buy his 30 porsce or some small island. I think people should flood his mail, and every party and social gather he goes to with photos of their decease loved ones, and restaurants and other consumer industries would deny him from their businesses, and show him money isn't everything, but alas, it's just a childish dream.
