And, Greece has spoken. Syriza wins again the election and they will continue at the government with almost the same number of votes. VforVendetta 2,024 Posted September 20, 2015 Share Posted September 20, 2015 And this time it is final, Greece has chosen the Euro way for the moment, people are not ready to carry on their backs an exit from EU (at least yet) which means hard cuts and more frugality than ever. Pray for us, Athens will bleed. Almost 45% of the population didn't even vote. Second Tsipras is a political genious, in 9 months he voted the memorandum, went on a refenderum to wash out his hands, avoided all political cost and got rid the most left part of the party that kept his hand from voting all the hard meters and wanted a rupture with EU. Now he is free to rule free and side by side with the EU (since they are the ones who will truly rule anyway) Of course the people will bear the 3rd memorandum (till unemployment reaches 50% or something and we get out of the Union the hard and bloody way). If the conservative right-wing party had won and formed a government with the pro-European progressives or with PASOK, Syriza would've likely stopped supporting the bailout and the austerity. This way Syriza will still support the austerity and you'll also have a less corrupt government that wants to take action. I hope they form a coalition with the pro-European centre party.
