PrinceGaga 7,644
Fvcking pigs. The police need to be viewed as protectors of society not as a threat. What the hell is wrong with them. I can't even watch it.

Kayla 7,595
This is why police need to exercise de-escalation techniques. Yes, he should have been on the sidewalk, it is fine for police to tell him to move. He shouldn't have refused. But when civilians don't act appropriately, you need to prevent a power struggle from happening.

Luv u Sum 2,535
Yeah its bad but i hate that no one says anything about all the good things Police officers do.... There are many bad ones but most officers are great people who do their job and do it honestly. But its stupid to me that people only focus on this. RAMROD 117,055
Damn these particular people should never visit England.Jaywalking is normal there. They would've beat up everyone then. Also, why should he be beaten for jaywalking though? Can't police speak by words any more? They can always tell him what he did is wrong and make him promise to never do it again or whatever. Why resort to violence? UDO 35
I don't see any brutal beating of a black teenager for jaywalking in this video. nobody even knows if he was jaywalking, nobody knows anything about what happened before this video, you cant ever trust anything on the internet. but witnesses said the cop told the guy to sit down, but the guy kept walking away, then the cop grabbed his arm, and then the guy pulled his arm away from the cop. then the guy started swearing at the cops, continuing to ignore the cops demands. in the video I see the black guy grabbing and holding on to the cops baton, while the cop struggles to take it away from him. (maybe he was even trying to take the baton away from the cop) once the cop rips the baton out of the guys hands, the cop tells him to get on the ground, he does not get on the ground, so the cops try to put him on the ground in a calm and controlled way. (while he is still resisting) meanwhile, while all this is going on, there is a loud, annoying black lady screaming at the cops. she is screaming, "get the fuk off of him" etc. she is yelling in a threatening sounding way. she also screams "its a fukin child", but the guy is taller than the cops. the cops did nothing wrong, they were very nice, they could have done A LOT more, seeing as how the guy grabbed the cops weapon, and he might have been trying to take it away from the cop. plus, before all that, the guy didn't listen to the cops, walked away, pulled his arm away after the cop grabbed it, ignored all the cops demands, and he swore at the cops. did I really have to explain this whole thing? is gagadaily, the media, and everybody else really this stupid? that guy is very lucky those cops were so nice to him. lego 44,165
‘I feel traumatized’: California teen speaks out after nine cops violently arrest him for jaywalking Emilio Mayfield, 16, the Stockton teen caught on video being roughed up by nine police officers, says he was “traumatized” by the experience. The high school student said he was on his way to school when an officer stopped him for jaywalking. The encounter escalated until nine officers ended up being involved in his arrest, with at least four piling on top of him. Video of the incident went viral after being first reported on Thursday. “I feel traumatized. I was beaten and slammed on the floor,” he told CBS Sacramento. According to witnesses, an officer told Mayfield to sit down, but he kept walking toward the bus to school instead. Bystander Edgar Avendaño recorded the video and said the officer grabbed the teen’s arm in attempt to stop him, and pulled out his baton when the teen took his hand off his arm. Avendaño’s video shows the officer leaning into the teen as he screams. Bystanders are noticeably upset, with one woman shouting, “That’s a kid! Get off of him!” Other officers then arrive and roughly throw Mayfield to the ground, piling on top of him as he is arrested. Mayfield can be seen sobbing as the officers lead him away handcuffed. Under California law, jaywalking is an in infraction, normally handled as a citation only, and some are questioning the use of force by the Stockton police officers. “The behavior of the officer was totally out of line. There’s no reason for him to attack this young man as he did,” Stockton NAACP president Bobby Bivens told CBS Sacramento. http://www.rawstory.com/2015/09/i-feel-traumatized-california-teen-speaks-out-after-nine-cops-violently-arrest-him-for-jaywalking/ FreePalestine
