It's funny to read some of the responses here because he said almost exactly the same thing Gaga's been saying throughout 2013 and 2014.

OMG I actually know this song. I wanted to look it up because I wanted to be fair to Slipknot (I didn't wanna say anything ignorant), but I was thinking of "Seether" as the song title instead. :deadbanana:

I obviously like this better than the other song I heard. Thanks for reminding me of it.

It's funny how rock fans feel the constant need to talk **** about pop music. We get it, your life's boring and you must act tough. But all this hate can't be healthy for you, honey.

At all of you ****ting on Carly Rae Jepsen: Emotion sh*ts on The Fame, so you might wanna give it a chance.

his opinion is insulting

I get his point and tbh...he is indeed partially correct, tho there are definitely pop songs that needed a lot of work, brilliance and passion to come actually to life.

If he feels the need to go the "real manly " route by creating his music the way he does "with bleeding and crying all night" and whatever else, it is his choice, but he shouldn't expect all others to go the same route he chose for himself and then get angry. Just cause others don't meet his expectations when it comes to creating music doesn't mean he has a right to get angry.

Emotion sh*ts on The Fame

:rofl::lmao::dies:

Every end of a verse line ends in autotune on the last 2 words.
Carly Rae Jepsen ain't ****ting on anything The Fame produced, and it's embarrassing that you just said this.

:saladga:

He's not right, not wrong. Not every pop artist is the same.

He didn't lie. The only annoying thing about his opinion is that it's not like it's only Pop that suffers from this lack of integrity. Has he listened to rock music nowadays? They're not much better.

Clearly he isn't listening to the good pop music then. Of course there's a lot of trash pop music, just as there is trash music in other genres.

You can't throw every pop artist in the same category. That isn't fair. Artists like Gaga, Marina, Florence, etc. don't fall in that description and they are pop artists. And I agree that other genres have their goods and bads as well but don't say that to sound "different" and "pretentious". I was kinda upset when Marina said the same thing along those lines
