Should Gaga work with Mutt Lange again?

I know that a large portion of the fan base dislikes "You and I", and although that's a bit unfortunate, I feel like the main reason is because of its country rock influence as opposed to her standard (at the time) dance-pop electro tracks. On the contrary, many Non-Fans or general consumers LOVED You and I. I still have people, Who aren't her fans, tell me how much it's her best song. Then again, I live in the south.

Anyway, this topic is not about "You and I" but more about the man who produced it...the legendary Mutt Lange! Don't know who he is? Go pick up a copy of Shania Twains last three albums and the iconic Hysteria by Def Leppard and report back. Personal life aside, as a producer Mutt is literally a genius of production and knows how to produce all forms of genres...and even some hybrids.

I think his work on You and I was fantastic and really brought a fresh new energy to a song that seemed boring and worn out by the fan base. I really feel like his presence on LG5 would help Gaga shift from electronic Pop and bring us all into a new trend in music. Plus he could help her expeirement with her rock roots without it becoming overbearing or overshadowing.

What do you all think? Mutt for LG5?

I wanna see her snatch the best selling female of all time from Shania tbh.

He butchered the hell out of you and i so hell no. You and I was a beautiful song when it was just gaga and a piano with her guitarists at the monster ball.

I prefer the album version so much more! The song was written to be more rock/country influenced anyway. Let's not forget that amazing solo by the legend Brian May now...

I think his production, while being very good (Y&I is awesome), it is too country-driven

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

YEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSS

One of the most iconic producers ever. His work is legendary and I love, love, love what he did for Yoü and I :flutter: I'm sure Gaga worships him for all the legendary albums he produced, so gimme more, pls!

VOLANTIS

I prefer the Album version to some of its Live versions.

And the production is massive. (too massive to handle for some)

Its perfect and yes Gaga has my permission to work with Mutt Lange. :hunty:

I'll lift you 3 inches off the ground and drag you to a meter and a half

Hell yes. I think that is one of her best songs and Mutt can go to traditional pop very easily. Shania's You're Still The One is an great example of that.

Yes. Someone who agrees that You and I is one of the best. :)

Also, "That Don't Impress me Much" and "You've Got A Way" from the Pop International Version of Come on Over are great examples.

His recent work with Muse produced their best album in years, so I'd definitely be up for it if she wanted to use him for an edgier guitar tinged song.
