It's been a rollercoaster year for Giuliana Rancic, and on Wednesday, the E! star was back in the news again.

The Fashion Police host is stepping down as the host of E! News on Aug. 10, the network confirmed in a press release. She will remain a co-host of Fashion Police and Live from the Red Carpet.

"For more than a decade, I was fortunate enough to play a role in the success of E! News and will miss my family at the show," Rancic said in a statement. "At the same time, I am excited to not only continue as host of two major franchises on E! but also executive produce the aspirational new show Rich in Faith for Oxygen as well as take my wine and clothing lines to the next level. This is such a thrilling time for me and I thank the gang at E! for understanding my desire to embark on this next chapter in my life."

I kinda feel bad for her:saladga:. I mean, she did say that horrible comment at the oscars, but I hardly think that she meant it as a racist comment.

All this is because of that comment?

I don't think so. Still, I kinda fell bad for her since, you know, Americans exaggerate everything and almost declare war on celebrities for comments like hers:saladga:

Yeah, yeah I know.

I still think she'll be fine tbh.

White privileged people finally getting what they deserve for their "casual" racism.

Bye, bye. :kisses:

Does this really have to do with the racial remark though? It's been a year and she's still co-hosting the Fashion Police, so I can't really see it as a decision in retaliation for her remarks. Plus she's still doing stuff for E!

Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."

Bye, bye.

Giuliana actually didn't have a privileged upbringing and fought through terrible physical problems as a teenager. Her family came over to the U.S. when she was in elementary school and she didn't speak English. They weren't wealthy and they didn't live a privileged life. Everything she accomplished, she worked extremely hard for.

Also, she delivered the lines given to her by the writers. They also edited the show and took out part of the comment and that lack of context changed its intent. She still took full responsibility for the comment.

Either way, she is moving on for whatever reason, and she still has a job in television.

Lol this clearly has nothing to do with the "racist" statement. She's outgrown E! News. She's doing exactly what Ryan Seacrest did and its a good move. I've always liked her. She was my favorite out of her and ryan.

Defending one race by condemning another. When will people learn that remarks like these only fuel the fire and encourage more of an inequality. We all bleed red, we're all human.

We're all human, but we're sadly not equal. I have no shame in calling out this ignorant white woman.

I don't think you should feel ashamed but why do you keep referring to her as a "white woman"? What does her skin colour have anything to do with the topic at hand?  If someone was posting "I have no shame in calling out ignorant black people" I'm sure it would be labelled as racist.

I had a feeling this was coming since the other day I noticed some new girl that kind of looks like her co-anchoring E! News.
