She made a jazz album and lost her pop fans....? :neyde:

She has been losing fans for losing what drew people to her, charisma and performance skills. Gaga has been losing fans for stopping (temporarily at least) doing pop music.

hes not comparing gagas artistry to brintney

he is talking about fanbases

britney has been loosing fans a lot he was talking about that

But is it for the same reasons? Britney  tried to make an album in different genre and lost her pop fans? No.

How does he know what will happen to Gaga?

I honestly just want her to make great music that she loves. I want her to feel free to create whatever comes to her without any restrictions. I don't care what genre it is. In fact, I think it would be incredible if Gaga could make an album that doesn't fit any particular genre at all.

Good riddance then.

Gaga will never lose her performance skills and charisma, she owns the stage, she has the chops and raw talent.

Those who will leave her for not staying in one genre all her life --> :bye:  most of the rock fans are more loyal anyway, they can wait longer for their faves album and they don't just abandon them for a stupid reason. If she wins them over, she'll have even more solid and loyal fanbase for life.

Not many members here will agree with me, but I'd loooove it if mainstream culture shifted away from pop for a while. We've had plenty of princesses over the past few years, it's time to get some good bands and rockstars like Gaga back in the spotlight . Arguably Coldplay has been one of the last "big" bands to rise to the absolute top, and they had their debut like a decade and a half ago .

She'll never make a pure rock album, but I'm here for rock-inspired pop music. Actually I'm here for real rock as well even if just to spite the ones who threaten leaving the fanbase because all they want is beats to pop their pussies to.

Yeah, it really is a smart move if she really wants to leave the mainstream and be an indie artist. :neyde:

Then after that she needs to do Country to make herself more local. :neyde:

Then after that she needs to do Gospel songs and totally leave the spotlight and she will only sing in churches. :neyde:

Very very very cool and smart move guys. :neyde:

"look what happened to Britney"

??? How are they as artists similar? How are their career paths similar?

Their career paths are similar in the way that they changed how pop sounded after their debut albums.

They have a lot of similarities.

Your reason is lame af. I just want her to make rock music because I can bet on my life that I will like it more than any of her previous efforts.

- Rock has had very big mainstream relevance in the past, and that could return in the years to come. The pop domination has to come at an end some day.

- Even if it reduces Gaga's mainstream relevance, who really cares when the music is good?

- A rock pop hybrid can withstand these things :hunty:

I know me too. :green:

It was a joke anyway, "look what happened to Britney", even if they both lost some fans, it's not for the same reasons. Their career choices are different.

You don't even know what pop is lmao, you should have choosed other words.

Like EDM domination has to come at an end some day and then Rock will be pop(ular).

Pop music is what is popular at the moment. Hence pop is taken from the word popular.
