Bebe 16,995
I think she is a atheist now. I mean thats what it looks like from the interview. It must be really tough for her parents to accept that. "I'm not Buddhist, I'm not Hindu, I'm not Christian, but I still feel like I have a deep connection with God. I pray all the time - for self-control, for humility," She doesn't sound like an atheist if she is praying to a God.

Batwings 12,859
@ the atheist comments: It doesn't sound like she's an atheist. It sounds like she's just choosing not to affiliate with any specific religion. At least that's what I got out of it.

craig 680
Interesting. I know it seems stupid but I kind of wish Gaga would ditch Christianity At least lyrically, she's ditched Christianity for Greek mythology this era.
Gagz 2,572
But she made a song called "By The Grace of God"..... Read the article before you post She said she still has a close connection with God, and she prays all the time. She just doesn't affiliate with a specific religion. God is also not restricted to Christianity, so she could have written that being another religion as well.
MORE COWBELL 26
And her parents centered more in her to learn religion than learning to read. I'm sure that's hard to accept
HANZ 4,380
this could definitely backlash her but I agree with her I believe there is a supreme and divine force above us but I don't really believe in religions in general but I've noticed most of them believe in a supreme god, maybe the christian god, buddah, allah, etc, all of them are the same "god" but people all over the world know him with different names and worship him in different ways as well My Favs = Lady Gaga, Janet Jackson, Ricky Martin, AKB48
DMTT 160
honestly I feel like she will identify with whatever her lable tells her to. I don't think she has a single creative or original thought. No shade but maybe shade? mess and no offense to everyone who probably just didn't understand the article, but katy specifically said she doesn't identify with Christianity ANYMORE. so people saying, "what about her first album?!" there you go! people change, EVERYONE changes. that's a very natural part of life, so everyone who thinks that makes her "fake" or "not creative" or a "puppet"...think again. what she says at the end is perfect: "They don't necessarily agree with everything I do, but I don't necessarily agree with everything they do." craig 680
I'm glad Katy has liberated herself. Especially after being raised by crazy Pentecostal minsters.
