Americano 31,061
I just won't even comment. In katy's defense, Pop girls are declining in some of central Europe in general. It's not just her. Lady Gaga, Katy, + Britney have all seen a sales decline in France + Netherlands. However, the fact MDNA debut bigger is still... yea
Runway 27,876
First week sales: Born this Way : 55k (#1) MDNA : 42k (#1) Unapologetic : 37k (#3) Femme Fatale : 15.321 (#4) PRISM : 15.213 (#4) Hnnn not femme fatale outselling her
PoshLife 17,005
Part of me wonders if maybe we should start managing our own expectations. I mean Katy and Miley are very big these days and they both sold around 275k. Are ARTPOP's preorders such that we need not be concerned? PS not to be a debbie downer, of course
Deacon 5
With the enormity of her promotion and Roar, I really thought her numbers would be greater than this. Not to mention the fact that she's coming off the heels of one of the biggest eras in pop music.
Luc 4,775
Thing with PRISM is, it's a good pop record but gets lost after about 5-7 tracks. After that it's full of fillers. What excites me so much about ARTPOP is that Gaga likes every song on the album and that they're all of high quality. No fillers. Born This Way had a few (arguably) fillers and The Fame Monster was an EP full of perfect pop songs. I feel like ARTPOP is going to be full of perfect songs too. jhonyguy04 3
its aiight. but coming off a huge era, big lead single, and promo, its disappointing.
LORD GAGA 1,271
Im kind of disappointed, i like Katy and i bought her album... from what I've seen so far... i hope this era goes well for her, but something tells me it won't, hope I'm wrong. Glomerulus 0
Well the album sales have been decreasing so dunno if this is worse or better compared to TD. But Roar is a song I wouldn't be suprised if it's still in the top 10 in january coz literally everyone likes it
Jjang 2,262
*If it tanks in sales next week In katy's defense, Pop girls are declining in some of central Europe in general. It's not just her. Paper Planes 340
That truck worked well then. At least now her label has the money to pay for the repairs that had to be done to it delete it fat
Just A Holy Fool 2,635
She arguably is bigger than she ever has been, and probably ever will be at this point and she couldn't even cross 300,000k. That has got to be quite disappointing to her team. I am shocked at how low the numbers were. She was coming off one of the biggest eras in pop music ever. Take the Gaga/Katy comparisons out of the equation, those numbers are awful. While we would absolutely go nuts and say Gaga is finished if ARTPOP opens with those numbers, but in all fairness, Gaga with those #'s after coming off her messy ass BTW era wouldn't be as disappointing.
