I don't actually mind Dark Horse, it's just it always reminds me of her tragic iHeart Radio performance :rip:

That preformance was so cringeworthy :rip:

I actually like Dark Horse. People will eat it up because it sounds kinda dark. It has a dark beat but light vocals. The trap breakdown was a let down thou lol you think its gunna be super epic.... then Juicy J opens his mouth.  :toofloppy:

What's up with Capitol? Before this, their marketing of Katy was outstanding. Their single choices for Teenage Dream were perfect. Roar is the only good choice for a single they've made so far with the Prism era (and it's still a medicore song at that). Releasing a promo single that was released two months ago, was the second song the public were introduced to prior to the album and has already sold over 800k in the US? Do they want her to fail? Actually, I think Dark Horse was the only good song on the album (and it's not amazing, just decent), but it's far too late to make it a single now, plus, Katy going urban is frankly cringey and Juicy J is far from a credible rapper. You know that this is going to lead to yet another rent a rapper remix, right? I wonder who she'll pick - 2 Chainz? Tyga? Both? And while it may get some success in the US, it won't do much worldwide. Promo singles released by American artists always peak early overseas and never make a comeback (she actually almost made it to #1 in New Zealand with the song but doesn't stand a chance now).

I just don't understand how Capitol are screwing her over so badly now. I was fully expecting Legendary Lovers or Double Rainbow to be the new single (let's face it, they're the only two songs left that could be hits). If she makes those songs singles after this, she stands a chance of picking herself up again, but re-releasing promo singles is not the way to go, even if it does feature a rapper. For those of you saying that this is Katy's BTW era, you're sorta right in the sense that it's a big comedown from her last album's peak, but Prism is flopping far harder than BTW ever did. BTW (the single) was a much bigger hit than Roar, Judas went top ten all over the world as opposed to the floptastic Unconditionally (which only went top ten in 2 countries and only charted in a handful of countries to start with), BTW sold over a million in the US first week and Prism couldn't even get 300k, BTW sold over 6 million and Prism is getting nowhere near those amounts and couldn't even go to #1 in any non-English speaking countries. And the Prismatic tour will not present the BTWB's gross with any competition. BTW's performance would have been considered a massive hit for most pop stars.

No wonder I've heard it a few times on my local Rhythmic station. I'll honestly be completely shocked if this song even underperforms in the US. It's definitely a highlight from her album.
