Supersonic 49,376
What I posted above...twenty one pilots lyrics. Would you call those basic? I'm not talking about changing the way she writes forever. Just for one album. Yeah maybe the way she looks changes but does her writing really change? She should shake it up a little bit. Look at panic. Each of their albums literally are a different genre. Literally. A. Different. Genre.Well you're asking for my opinion, so don't come crying because I offended you.Yes, I would consider them basic. Eclectic and hard to read as well. With that undertone of hipsterish snobism I cannot stand. It literally sounds like a well off 14 year old teenager complaining about their parents, because they don't allow them to have their freaking genitals pierced. I did not enjoy reading those. Cody Draco 2,531
Idk, I personally think beats are more important, Paparazzi isn't really relatable but it's so catchy. Paparazzi is one of the most relateable songs she has ever written.
zexion_armando 241
Why the **** do you need to "Something everyone can relate to and understand?"Its music, dear lord.
MonsterOfSpain 8,318
I don't see any problems with her lyrics. Maybe it's you who has the problem and Gaga is not the artist you're actually looking for.
The Child 18,997
for what part of ARTPOP did u need a dictionary for? enigma popstar is fun ‘If religion be the cause of disunity, then irreligion is surely to be preferred.’ ‘Abdu’l-Bahá
Jester 6,316
I have a contrary opinion, she should avoid basic lyrics like those in G.U.Y. and Donatella imo.
Dodo 313
Not here for Gaga writing basic songs. It's not basic to write about natural human experiences, no one cares about koons p0rn.

Supersonic 49,376
It's not basic to write about natural human experiences, no one cares about koons ****. Yes, her new hit single "I Took A Piss Today" from her new album FARTPOP is in stores soon.I care a lot more about Jeff Koons than I do about love. Redstreak 6,653
I sort of agree. One of ARTPOP's biggest issues with me were the lyrics. I mean you can write about relatable experiences without it being "basic" it's all in how you do it. Or even if they're not relatable you can still write them in a way that interests people. Take a moment to think of just flexibility, love, and trust~
Son of Venus 473
Again...do a little research about twenty one pilots. That's the kind of lyrics I want. Fall out boy, panic at the disco, my chemical romance, Elton john... I don't care about what you want though and i doubt Gaga does either. You said she needs to write " Something everyone can relate to and understand" and i asked you why. As you said you can be an artist without writing lyrics that the fans will need a dictionary to understand them but you can't be an artist if you have to change the way you express your feeling/experiences to make yourself relatable. The fun thing with most of Gaga's lyrics are the fact that they are full of metaphors and you have to decypher the meaning behind them. iAstroLeo 14,424
It's not basic to write about natural human experiences, no one cares about koons p0rn. Because ARTPOP isn't about natural human experiences
Dorothy Gale 7,575
I sort of agree. One of ARTPOP's biggest issues with me were the lyrics. I mean you can write about relatable experiences without it being "basic" it's all in how you do it. Or even if they're not relatable you can still write them in a way that interests people. Venus, Aura, GUY, Sexxx Dreams, ARTPOP and Swine are all very relatable. I'm not here for her writing songs about unspecified obstacles and cliches. Supersonic 49,376
Because ARTPOP isn't about natural human experiences http://gagadaily.com/uploads/default_lmao.gif Yes, because nobody ever has had an awkward s-x dream, wanted to apologize to somebody who they hurt, did d--gs or felt misunderstood.
