Quark 7,098
sam smith and ed have been impactfull to oh lemme not talk about adele Most of the radio sounded like dark horse, Katy just hopped on the urban trend. Also you are acting like I said no one has impact/influence. Some do, but most don't. Even the ones that do not come close to Gaga.

Quark 7,098
I love lady gaga too but I don't look at her as my mom or jesus christ. She's made a massive impact yes but she's not the only artist to save lives, make trends, fight for justice etc. Who really cares about whose made more impact or not? Not even gaga cares if her peers are more impactful or not. What matters is that all artist deliver and at the end of the day no one is going to care about who made the biggest impact just like how no one cares who made the most money. But name one current modern artists with most overall influence than Gaga. Also impact is what artists are remembered for.
Disregard 50
Um, Rihanna won the first ever AMA ICON award and the 2014 CFDA Fashion Icon award. And, uh, Britney? Madonna?Nobody knows or remembers that Rihanna won some made up award at an award show that Dick Clark created because he was mad at the Grammy's. And nobody knows what a CDFU Fashion Award is. And nobody knows or cares that Gaga won that award a few years prior. Nobody cares that Britney won some VMAs and that her song that was mostly sung by Cathy Dennis won a Grammy that she wouldn't even be eligible for under current rules. Nobody cares about awards except for stans, and nobody other than stans think that most of the current faves made impact whatsoever. Pop girls' achievements are utterly irrelevant to people who aren't already stans.

Also you are acting like I said no one has impact/influence. Some do, but most don't. Even the ones that do not come close to Gaga.During the whole 2013, I hear more pop/edm songs than any urban song or urban inspired song. I am not saying Katy invented the urban genre, but she made it popular with her hit single, "Dark Horse". Ever since DH became a hit, more artist are following her, hopping on the bandwagon she started. I Only Stan For Risk Takers

Quark 7,098
not even adele? She is one of the few I have exceptions for. But even then she only influenced music. And reversed Gaga's fashion trend.

No, she jumped on a trend to boost interest, just like Katy did with DH. Urban/Pop was already a thing.
