Do you wish Gaga could have followed Grace Jones' advice?

Anyone else remember this? It's quite sad, cos many of the creative people that were backing her during this time are now gone. Matthew Williams, Nicola Formichetti, Laurieann Gibson, Troy Carter. They are all her team of the past. Graces' advice was overlooked and could this have partially a reason for the recent decline?

I don't think so. Change is always good and there are plenty creative people out there, they're not really in decline, especially after her Artrave praise for "creative rebellion" :)

--- and how is Troy a "creative" person?

it's a good piece of advice indeed, but when these creative people get greedy or a bit power-obsessed it's time to show them the way to an exit door :Chica: (BoomKack and Troy, I'm looking at you)

while in other cases those people might just want to concentrate on their own art or lives. they are not Gaga's slaves and are free to leave whenever they want  to :laughga: (which I believe was the case with Nichola)

and then there might also be a thing when your relationship with someone on your team just gets really awkward and painful. no matter how creative these people are, they are not robots. I believe there was something personal going on between Dada and Gaga, and him leaving was a result of some relationship crisis

so, long story short, I think it's not always possible to keep the things you like them to be.

it's just the way this life is :neyde:

Yes, she should have had them all locked up and chained somewhere, to work with her until they die.

WELLLLL

she obviously lost respect for people like Troy when they hurt her, and lied, made her feel like she isn't an artist and just a pop machine. Look where Gaga is now, she's obviously happy and isn't that what matters? Not that she isn't making a TFM 2.0?

No, aside of Barbarella, LaurieAnn, and Troy,

everyone else departed on their own free will to chase their own dreams.

And Gaga cannot stop them because she is not a tyrant.

Lady Gaga also once said that someone once told her to keep all the creative people she has around her, to not let them go no matter the cost. Unfortunately though, not Gaga's fault, they left her. Dada once spoke about Lady Gaga and what was going on around time of ARTPOP and he said during her first two albums, everyone stuck together and magic happened but then people who were elevated by Gaga left her, leaving her to find new people to work with and he believes what was created between 2008-2011 can never be replicated because some of the people she works with now arent as creative or devoted.

Nicola never used Lady Gaga, Mugler saw his work with Lady Gaga and he was given the opportunity to come work for them while continuing with Gaga as well, then Diesel saw his work with Mugler and Gaga and offered him a job as creative director, Gaga wished him well and he moved on. The two are still friends, there is no hard feelings between them. Brandon Maxwell, Gaga's current stylist was Nicola's assistant, so Brandon had some input in Gaga looks we view as being created by Nicola.

With Dada, who was Lady Gaga's ex, the two remained working together even after they split, I don't think he left because of tension between them, Lady Gaga dated Dada before The Fame, Gaga was dating Luc Carl when she was becoming famous. I could be wrong though, but I do recall Gaga talking about her relationship with Dada and continued friendship after they broke up.
