Will/Should Gaga attend The Met Gala?

I see no real upside to Gaga going this year....

As well as the usual gripes and protests, Bezos' involvement has put a particular bad taste in people's mouths about this year and tables have not been selling.

Personally the thought of Bezos seeking Gaga out like a gd Pokemon and getting a pic with her in it makes me sick.

Also, when she's not the center of attention like the Camp ball, they pay her well-researched and on theme outfits dust anyway.

What do yall think?

Giving the fact that the movie will be out just a few days before, that there is a whole scene filmed at the Met Gala, and that Anna Wintour and Miranda are on the latest Vogue cover is basically certain that the whole cast including her and Doechii will be there.

The Bezos being so involved is a big bummer (ew ) and mistake on Anna's side, but tables will eventually sell out as always.

I didn’t know Jeff Bezos was involved this year. Why? Seems very random.

I would like to see Gaga but I wouldn’t care if she didn’t attend. It’s been boring in recent years and doesn’t seem like a huge event anymore.

I don't think Gaga as a billionaire herself is bothered by Jeff Bezos at all and she is not that type of socially aware person, at least recently.

Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez Bezos are lead sponsors and honorary co-chairs this year. It's usually a fashion house. I think it's just another move to buy friends for his wife honestly.

I dunno . Apparently Meryl was asked to co-chair this year and declined because of Bezos' involvement. It's not guaranteed the cast will be there.

I think all the rich people gathering at events like this to throw themselves a party has been in poor taste for years tbh.

She shouldn't go but she also shouldn't be as rich as she is

I would agree if it wasn't a fundraiser and publicity for the museum.

The cast are going to be there, the movie is based on a fictionalised version of Anna Wintour and the entire concept of Runway is a fashion show (plus, the video has made us sated for a MET appearance). Gaga's been there 3 times now (surprising she's not there every year considering fashion is her brand and people who aren't famed for their fashion show up every year) and she hasn't attended since 2019, so she's long overdue. And the theme is Costume Art. If ever there was a year where it suits her to be there, it's this time and she shows up when it's an obvious time.
