BBHMM is a US-only single, and AO was supposed to be released as the next single in the UK on June 9th. However, the song has been pulled from radio lineups and is not being sent to them after all. The song peaked at #78 on the US hot 100 and sold 38,908 copies to date. However, keep in mind that this was a pre-album release, so the underperformance is even more tragic

I for one think this is good news :excited2: The "Black Madonna" hit the recording studio with Drake recently, hopefully she is preparing that "huge commercial pop smash" or any other more exciting single in the place of this poor song which was ruthlessly ruined by it's production.

tl;dr I really just thought it was funny that Rihanna flopped so hard with this song and wants to save herself the embarrassment of letting it bomb everywhere else too. She could just go out and promote it, but she isn't into that it seems, as the one time she performed the song she received huge backlash for it.

I hope she changes the direction of this album and goes back to iconic bops  I'm listening to Don't Stop The Music rn and remembering the good ol' times :bunny:

What a failure. Too much for her "artistic and quality era/music". She's already recording a generic and super commercial song, I can bet.

If she wanted hit songs, she should have stuck with L.A. Reid and the songwriting/recording camps he set up for her every year.

Shame, I hope she sticks to her guns and releases the quality album I know she can deliver.
She could ruin the entire project by re-doing it with commercial fluff.

1 for you, 7 for them Riri

She killed it herself though. She didn't promote her songs and she expected them to chart well? She only performed it once in an irrelevant festival, that's it. It's not like American Oxygen had no potential. FourFiveSeconds slayed because of the Grammy performance and Kanye and Paul's assistance. BBHMM achieved moderate success because of the iHeartRadio award performance and the nature of its unique theme, however it still lacked a video.

Riri, please do not underestimate the importance of promotion.
