That being said, it seems to me that Kesha is merely following a trend. Does that make her a bad artist or person? NO! It just means I find her to be a bit less genuine. I don't count songs off of Warrior being inspirational  given the fact that her reality show was filmed during the making of the record. And on top of that, I find way too many similarities between the record and BORN THIS WAY.

Hello Gaga stan, welcome to another artist.

Well firstly, we can look at We R Who We R, the song was released before born this way was announced (correct me if I'm wrong),

and that song in itself speaks volumes in her message as opposed to Gaga's, the whole pronoun "we" instead of "you", and how she's all about living in the moment and giving your critics no second thought...

I think you need to look into her a bit more, the singles are chosen by Dr. Luke and certainly not her, the inspirational songs are Animal, Love Into The Light, Warrior, etcetc, but I really think you should go to one of her shows before you knock them down for not being inspiring. I spent 95% of the time at the Gaga show I went to b---hing and being b---hed at just for my place at the show, and with the Kesha show there was no hate anywhere to be found.

For me she's way more inspiring than Gaga, and I understand that's only because she speaks to me on a personal level and not to the public- but I think you should look into her music a bit more before saying:

"BUT it's not like I feel set free/liberated and learn to love myself by "Waking up in the morning feeling like P. Diddy" or "Stealing bubble gum from the maxi mart"

because I could say the same about Gaga, with "Hooker, yeah you're my hooker, Hooker, government hooker, Hooker, yeah you're my hooker", selecting irrelevant lyrics doesn't make your point valid, what about "I am in love with what we are,Not what we should be" or "I know we're all different, baby that's life, but since when were these differences so wrong that kids are taking their own lives"

We R who We R was released October 22, 2010 and BTW was already announced  :awkney:  ooh and I don't want to bait or anything and firstly I want to say that I like Ke$ha and that I wanted Warrior to had been more successful but it's so obviously that like 80% of Ke$ha is thanks to Gaga, and you as fan of both should probably see the similarities most......

the facts are facts, say whatever you like but since 2008 Gaga is being an influence to A LOT of artist and note I'm not STAN I'm just giving the realistic situation from perspective view

It's much more fun to have hizophrenia... u never get lonely

WRWWR was recorded way before the BTW announcement, like months before.

well you can't be sure about that....and wasn't reported that the whole EP was done like for couple of weeks before it's release ....

She stated that she was concerned with today's society, criticizing the fact that people have to hide themselves and pretend to be someone other than who they are. Regarding her music she said that it was not for everyone, claiming that she is a misfit in society and not everyone understands her or what she stands for.

Kesha explained that she wanted the song to become a pride anthem; "I wanted to inspire people ... to be themselves. It's a celebration of any sort of quirks or eccentricities." She elaborated, "I was really affected by the suicides that have been happening, having been subject to very public hatred [myself]. I have absolutely no idea how these kids felt. What I'm going through is nothing compared to what they had to go through. Just know things do get better and you need to celebrate who you are. Every weird thing about you is beautiful and makes life interesting. Hopefully the song really captures that emotion of celebrating who you are ... I just felt like people hate because they don't understand or they're jealous, It's all coming from a very negative place and I really feel like people don't need to pay attention to that."

That's a different message than Gaga's in my opinion.

In all honesty though they are two talented artists who are making the same kind of difference to our youth, and are both saving lives and changing lives for the better, can we not just celebrate that and not argue on how similar their messages are, because they are both powerful, positive and helpful.

omg, right? HOW the **** are there similarities between the two albums? warrior is clearly a much more personal, realistic, down-to-earth and relatable album than BTW

im sorry no. i dont think either of those albums are very personal, realistic, or down to earth at all. and to be honest i dont even feel like born this way actually attempted to be down to earth, it was quite the opposite. it was an exercise in overly excessive production and concepts.

and warrior is way less down to earth than animal actually. because with animal ke$ha had a strong and clear aesthetic that came across in not only her music but her attitude and on footage of the show were watching now. warrior is just like this obvious struggle between ke$ha being super generic and uninspired (wherever you are, only wanna dance with you, all that matters, out alive, die young) and being a little more true to herself (love into the light, wonderland, past lives).

i like ke$ha generally speaking, i like warrior too. im just saying. you're seriously giving her too much credit. dont let this delusional gaga fan trick you into being a delusional fan as well

Perhaps the label saw a trend and released it as the first single because of it.  However, if you search through Dr. Luke interviews, he talks about how he completed Cannibal in the summer of 2010.  This was before BTW was announced.

what does it matter nothing about cannibal was like born this way anyway this argument is pointless

the only shallow similarities to gaga from cannibal is the fact that she did an ep to add to her debut album.
