before 2005 only some Provinces allowed same-s-x marriage. If Federal Government didnt step in, some probably still wouldnt allow it who knows

But honestly no shade intended but Alberta (one of our most conservative if not most conservative Province) is still more Liberal than the average US State

 

When we said Alberta didnt want gay marriage this was back in 2003 when the first Provinces started legalizing it. And then in 2005 When The Federal Government made it National they werent happy

 

But that was 10 years ago haha
