Washington (CNN)Indiana Gov. Mike Pence signed into law on Thursday a measure that allows businesses to turn away gay and lesbian customers in the name of "religious freedom."

The bill has sparked an uproar among gamers and church groups that hold their conventions in Indianapolis and businesses that are threatening to pull out of the city.

That's seriously ****ed up. How many people are going to suffer, get ridiculed and ostracized over "religious freedom"? Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with religion, but it's silly and simply inhuman to have people get rejected for being gay in 2015. Nobody comes for religious people and nobody refuses to serve religious people because of their BELIEF. But they would choose to reject someone for the way they ARE. 

It angers me even more that GOVERNERS are the ones who are making those moves, instead of someone with no impact whatsoever like Shirley Phelps-Roper. They should be the ones who prone equality, not stepping over someone's freedom and basic rights for their belief (which are subjective and should not be forced on anyone). As if being gay took away their religiousness or whatever....

Fairly certain this *really* applies only to Christian business owners. Let's see how the right-wing will celebrate this law when a Muslim/Sikh/atheist/what-have-you denies a Christian service. Wonder if they'll celebrate it then. Hmm.
