Bebe 17,289
Oh, atheists believe in marriage which is a concept originally based on religious teachings? boobtank 9,090
People need to understand that Marriage is no longer a 'religious' thing. There are is many more strings attatched other than 'supposedly' making a vow to god.

calmar 22,766
I just read through the bill that Luiz posted. It doesn't look bad at all; it appears to be an improvement.
Petie Estie 5,704
this argument about marriage being religious makes no sense to me. Maybe it started that way, but it's a fundamental part of american life and government now. It has nothing to do with religion anymore as far as the laws about it go. Beyond that, even if this does pass, there's always a gay-friendly church around to approve marriages. This might actually make it easier for gay marriage to happen. Do they not know that? Am I wrong? lmao Call your therapist...it's Petie Estie

Prometheus 1,494
kinda agree tbh Marriage is no longer a spiritual institution. Marriage has become something the government runs and constricts. It gives benefits to married couples. People swear to their god that they will love each other to death and then divorce a year later. Let's not act like marriage is only for the faithful.
