I know a ton of people who have never met their dad and have been raised solely by their mother.This is such a terrible argument against gay marriage. Also just because a gay couple get married, it doesn't mean they want children anyway. Gay marriage & parenting are two separate issues.There are so many alternative family situations these days, it's 2015... I know many people who have got on just fine without being raised by a married mother and father. Homophobic people use children as an excuse to deny gay people rights, and it's disgusting.There isn't even any conclusive study that shows children with gay parents suffer, it's nonsense. Face it guys, you're against it because you don't like gay people and also because you believe marriage has to equal children. Surprise! Some people marry for love and don't want kids! Also, surprise! Some gay people want to adopt kids and that's still infinitely better than those children living in foster homes with adoption agencies struggling to fit in with a family. If you'd rather a kid grow up longer without a loving family than let a homos-xual couple raise that child with love, you're messed up. Not to mention, if your whole schtick is "Kids deserve a mom AND a dad!" then you better start claiming single people shouldn't have kids too. These are the same arguments I make when I hear that tired old spiel about "think of the children," because that's exactly what these types are NOT doing! It's just a lame, pathetic excuse to stop gay marriage! I guess we should start forcing all single (unmarried or widowed/widowered) individuals to get married! No more divorces, either! And it's better for a child to die in a gutter than have a loving home with "queers." It's so pathetic. I know people raised by gay couples and they turned out fine.
