Glow 0
The vibes for the albums are much more different too, like BTD/Paradise is much less dark and melancholy than UV
ALX 170
The vibes for the albums are much more different too, like BTD/Paradise is much less dark and melancholy than UV BTD/Paradise is like the idealization of the American dream and UV is the realization everything sucks

Travis 543
Glad I'm not the only one feeling the heavy differences between her albums. I've only listened to each of the songs maybe once, but I'm just not really feeling any of it (I like West Coast, Brooklyn Baby, Black Beauty, and 1 or 2 others) like I was BTD/Par. Alcina Dimitrescu 1,157
Y'all I need some help! I read somewhere back when Black Beauty leaked that the line "‘Cause you like your women Spanish, dark, strong and proud" is a homage to some author, book or something? But I've been googling without any result and it's driving me crazy I remember reading (here i think)that it might be a John Wayne reference since he married women like that
Hexxx 2,244
Considering Cruel World is Lana's favorite song off the album, I hope it gets a video Same. Lady Gaga/ Madonna/Lana /Azealia Banks/ Jazmine Sullivan/ DEEE-LITE/ Moko
JudasInTheDark 3
I have a feeling we'll be getting a pretty good amount of videos from this album - West Coast - Shades Of Cool - Ultraviolence (Lana mentioned it) - Pretty When You Cry (snippet Lana posted on IG, looked like one of her homemade vids) - Cruel World (just a guess here, but I bet it will be a big film ala Ride since it's the epic opener of the album and her favorite song) - others (I could see her doing Brooklyn Baby, FMWUTTT, or MPG)
Hellspont 1,468
I can see myself listening to this album for years to come like I did with BTD
PopBitch 1,218
This album is exceeded my expectations. There are no words for how stunningly beautiful and layered and cohesive it is. You just have to let it soak in. By second listen I was hooked.

Antidote 95
Guys I've got a question. It's so weird that the song is called "Pretty When You Cry" but she sings "Pretty When I Cry"....why not call it Pretty When I Cry on the tracklist Am I the only one who asked herself that (by the way I love the song)
Nein 508
Is this the official Ultraviolence (Song) picture?
Scarlet Witch 1,644
UV is definitely more mature than BTD, thematically. It so different, yet the difference is so subtle.
HausOfHarlow 383
Guys I've got a question. It's so weird that the song is called "Pretty When You Cry" but she sings "Pretty When I Cry"....why not call it Pretty When I Cry on the tracklist Am I the only one who asked herself that (by the way I love the song) I've thought about that too, Maybe because the song talks about how HE made HER feel,. So since the song is about him, when HE reads the title, HE would said "you're pretty when you cry" vs SHE would say "I'm pretty when I cry". Has anyone also noticed that in Cruel World, it never says cruel world and how Old Money never says old money?
Helix 1,485
I've never understood how people see Lana as try hard.... through my eyes she's probably the opposite of that but whatever. But ya I do think it's sort of weird how some of UVs songs don't feature the words that are in their titles. I wonder if Lana will ever talk about that?????
