Yes they do, they definitely do. I have no time for big hollywood stars that masquerade as heteros-xuals, hiring beards to keep up the fantasy while having secret rendezvous with young nubile men or their actual same s-x partners. And all this because of the '' fear '' of losing face or losing their career aka losing wealth. Hollywood in particular isn't that scary of a place to be gay in...

The LGBT community could really use more popular figures, yet most of them are closeted due to reasons mentioned above. You don't need to be an LGBT spokesperson if you are a public figure and part of the LGBT community. Just being an out succesful celebrity does WONDERS for the community.

You don't have to necessary be open about your s-xuality when you are a celebrity of sorts, but don't fabricate a lie about you being straight, that's just ****ing cruel, and as said, sets our movement back loads, and makes you indefinitely a disgrace. Surely if you are actually really questioning your s-xuality, and afraid of emotional backlash from your family, friends and such, then by all means don't come out for the good of your safety.

Now all this that I'm saying only applies to public figures whose lives are out there in the open. When it comes to the '' little people '' who have no presence in the media, then really, do what you want.

I just mean in general when it comes to their friends and family, like rejection and all of that stuff :noparty: If they're actually going out there purposefully acting straight then no that's not okay, but if it's gonna buy them time to figure themselves out and come to terms with the reality then so be it  We don't know their reasons for it so it's not fair to assume it's for money or whatever

To be honest I think they're the ones losing out in the long run if they choose to act straight for the public :duck: Like I don't think they need the bashing or punishment or all of that bad stuff when they're kinda doing it to themselves anyway, like just like leave them to it - when/if they eventually come out then they'll realise that the grass was greener on the other side (the side that's out) and that things could've been much easier before, plus all that time and effort wasted in acting straight  :laughga:

I'm glad he's come around to it and he feels comfortable with it and stuff now

I don't think it's okay or nice or anything to say how some other YouTubers "need to come out now" or stuff like that  We don't know their s-xuality, and we won't until and unless they specify  Enforcing stereotypes onto people doesn't do anyone any good unfortunately :ohno: Plus, if any of them are actually gay then if they choose to come out then they should in their own time and on their own terms - people work at different paces and it's a personal thing :omg:

Most intellectual post I've ever seen on GGD. It all comes down to this.

The hardest thing in this world is to live in it

It's one thing to be unsure and struggle with your s-xual identity, but if you damn well know you are gay but act straight to get money and attention, you deserve to be outed and dragged.

Being attracted to the same gender doesn't mean you have to act a certain way. The gender you're attracted to has nothing to do with how you act at all. There's flamboyant straights and masculine gays. Your beliefs are false. You deserve to be dragged for such an ignorant statement.
