Mr Josh 3 Posted November 29, 2014 Share Posted November 29, 2014 how good is the video and audio quality? it seems is not even that HD/Godly quality for that 47gb file :S Footage from the main camera looks good, the rest not so much. Still not what you'd expect for that size. Is that the aspect ratio of the video in the OP or are the screen caps distorted? It looks stretched. I don't know how they could've broadcasted the whole thing without fixing it at some point. I think the aspect ratio of the main show is correct. Oh I didn't notice the screenshots in the OP. Yes the aspect ratio is 2.21:1 by default. The Wilson thing looks like it's 16:9 fitted to 2.21:1. Me too but it's weird because it was broadcasted in 16:9. The cameras imo captured the whole thing in 16:9 but it was stretched for obvious reasons. The reason I believe this, is because there are some awkward angles throughout the concert. For example: If we convert this image back to 235:100 we get this: I'm guessing the original files (how it was recorded) don't have the black bars so the top of the screen is not all awkwardly cropped out. When I said "actual show" I meant they used better cameras for her, different from the opening acts. It would make sense if they plan on releasing a DVD because they would probably not include the opening acts on that like they did with the Monster Ball DVD. I don't really know what you mean by stretched. If the concert was shot in 16:9, the only way to make it stretched the way it is is if they cut off the top and bottom to make it 2.35:1, and then stretched that to 16:9. YouTube's compression is crap, especially with audio. Also, it's not genuine 1440p either so there's no point in downloading it in that resolution.
