Additional features:

Trusted Devices

Google added Trusted Devices to Android 5.0 “Lollipop.†The idea behind a trusted device is pretty simple (our tutorial on the Moto X) – when you have select Bluetooth devices paired to your phone, you can tell your phone to let you bypass a secure lock screen without having to enter a PIN, password, or pattern. It could be a watch that you wear with your phone all day, so that your phone remains mostly unlocked when with you.

Guest and Multiple Users

In Android 5.0 “Lollipop,†users can finally setup Guest accounts and additional user profiles on phones, similar to what has been available on tablets for some time. Whether you need to hand your phone to your friend for a quick call or email because their phone died earlier in the day, or because you have kids that are constantly asking for some time with your phone to game, know that your main profile will remain safe and untouched at all times.

Notification Access, Do Not Disturb Mode

Notification controls and Do Not Disturb mode are huge parts of Android 5.0 “Lollipop.†You can now fully control specific apps and when or how they show you information. Couple notification control with a newly introduced Do Not Disturb mode and you have pretty advanced controls over the information that shows up on your device.

Screen Pinning Apps

Screen Pinning is a way for you to share a specific screen or app with someone while not giving them full access to your phone. The idea is that you may have something to share on your phone and are considering handing it over to a person with you, but you likely do not want a home or back button press to allow the person you are sharing with to see what else you might be working on.

I already had the chance to play with the beta design and it was amazing, can't wait for it to be officially presented and distributed all over the world

Doesn't look bad, but what exactly is the point of Android now that we have the iP6+?

Hmmm, who cares about iOs users and apple ? It's a different operating system duhhh.

Beside, iOs are pretty crap anyway, that is if you know anything about technology.

The lag is not caused by OS, it is because of your device.... get a new phone.  And if you call this ugly...

P.s Don't give me a comeback such as "no but i don't want to buy new phone every year", that comeback should be saved for apple  :scar:.

i'm using it on my nexus 7, it's very nice

i thought the clock was the same from KK but it's very cool it changed color depending on the hour it's purple-blue during the day and at 0:00 it gets gray

because it's not as restricted as ios so you can edit it as you want

you also have more variety so you can get a phone according to your needs, and if you get rid of it, you can get a new one with the same ecosystem but different specs

hun... :awkney:

Android 5.0 might be just the smoothest version of Android yet... It's already been reported that a Nexus 4 running it is even faster than a Nexus 5 running KitKat...

One may also ask, what exactly is the point of iOS now that we have Android :whitney:

They're both good mobile operating systems suited for different kinds of users.

Omg i hope so, my n7 started to lag badly after kitkat and my iPod Touch 5 was faster on iOS 6 :I
