Yea except that Elton John, Cher and Tony have all done wayyyyyy more than just perform with Gaga.

 

Like so much more. Just tons of support and love, most of the time they have nothing to gain from giving it either. I mean Cher didn't even release the song

 

Meanwhile, Madonna released an atrocious remix with LMFAO. Obviously because she was supporting them right? Madonna "sings praises" by saying, "o yea they are great love them" if she is asked about them. What exactly is she gonna say? "Omg Katy Perry is such a generic hoe I hate her, she makes me wanna vomit" probably wouldn't go down to well with the press. Plus Madonna has no reason to make enemies with Katy Perry. Katy Perry isn't gonna 'replace' her.

 

Call me when Madonna goes out of her way to actually support another artist while receiving little to no attention for it. Because that's what Tony, Cher and Elton have all done many times for Gaga (and Gaga for them in turn). That comparison is way off.

Personally I think thats an inoffensive answer to the question asked. It's not like she said that Madonna is a C U Next Tuesday.

All she said is that she believes if you're a well-established Artist, you should try to help the up-and-coming ones or be supportive.

Sorry but Madonna is not someone I'd look up to after that whole fiasco either, I see where she's coming from.

Once again refer to the post above yours. Madonna already is a Queen. There is no need for "succession". Madonna will always be recognised as a groundbreaking and legendary artist. Hopefully Gaga is also seen in the same light when all is said and done.

To act as if Madonna wasn't relevant when she kissed Britney or invited Nicki to perform with her is just silly. Madonna is still a major name in Pop. People don't say Michael Jackson was using Britney for relevancy when he performed with her... But women are always pitted against each other. 

Madonna performed with Britney and Xtina just after she released the super successful and critically acclaimed albums "Ray of Light" and "Music".

Let's be real here, the artists who performed or sang with Madonna where "using" Madonna's name for credibility and attention just as much as Madonna was "using" them to appeal to a younger demographic. 

I mean Britney asks Madonna to appear on her track, but that old b---h Madonna must just be a manipulative ho that used Brit for relevancy. Miley asked Madonna to perform with her but once again Madonna must have used her mind tricks and forced Miley to ask her because Madonna wanted to use her.

What is Madonna supposed to do?? Every example of Madonna supporting a younger artist is just dismissed because every time she works with a younger artist it is an evil and manipulative attempt at trying to be relevant after a career spanning multiple decades.

Nobody is denying Madonna's legend status. She has accomplished so much all those years, but lately she's been declining both musically and commercially (she will always slay the touring tho). Having legend status is one thing, you also need to keep your career moving.

 

When she collaborated with Britney she didn't do it to help her or as a favor. Britney did not need Madonna at all, she was already HUGE. Timberlake was huge. Miley was huge. Katy was huge. Nicki was big . Anyway my point is that Madonna needed them more than they needed her.

Well when Madonna shades your work, adds in all the BTW vs EY comparison, has an active role in labeling Gaga as a 'copycat', of course she's gonna be pressed about it.
