Israel Only Place Where Christians in Middle East Are Safe

I feel like, graffiti and screaming isn't really that comparable to beheading.

Although, I've never been beheaded, or had my house/church marked by graffiti, I'll be honest.

Indeed, but in the places where Christians get beheaded, they are not the only one, Muslims get beheaded too, Yazidis as well, anyone who opposes that group. But they hold only two cities, that is not the whole Middle East.

And Israeli state has been killing Palestinian Christians too in their attacks on Gaza which repeats every few years. They took their land as well.

Also I don't consider beheading/blowing up/killing with bombs any more humane.

No one is safe in parts of the Middle East, and there are many reasons to that. But some people like to simplify it to religion vs. religion.

Edit: besides graffiti and kicking and pulling off religious clothing, all clergymen complained about spitting. That is form of harassment. There is no respect there.

People will always harass people. Even in Europe, there are people who harass others. The title of the thread is obviously wrong. I mean, let's face it, no one is technically safe anywhere.

 

But the laws of many middle east states generally provide for a lot of benefits towards Islam, and do often restrict other religions outright. Only a few of them (I only know UAE and Israel off the top of my head) provide full freedom of religion by law and Israel is one of them. I feel like that is what the article is talking about primarily. Of course you can find instances of individuals harassing other people, especially when Israel and Palestinian states have such tension, but that isn't a fair comparison. 

 

Just like talking about ISIS wouldn't be a fair comparison to the rest of the Middle East.

Lmao @ someone ''kinda agreeing'' but dismissing that the graffiti were made by some Israeli Jews.

Clergymen of Catholic church, Greek Orthodox church and Armenian church all ask not to be spat at, and they know who's spitting on them, and they say they got used to it and police is not doing anything about the harassment.

If you wanted to say that Muslims living in Israel wrote those graffiti in Hebrew, then you must know that Jesus and his mother are very respected in Islam, and mocking them is form of disbelief. On another hand, in Judaism, Jesus is not very respected, to put it mildly.

Of course not everyone in Israel behaves like that, but there are many Orthodox Jews among settlers who are extremists and who are very disrespectful to any other faith. And what is state of Israel doing to stop that?

And Christians are not exempted from harassment...

Well the whole point is that the title and article are wrong. Arab Christians criticized this man, for spreading Israeli propaganda and asking Christians to join Israeli army and to turn blind eye to all the war crimes they're accused of.

In the times of peace both Lebanon and Egypt were safe for Christians as well. Lebanon always had a Christian president. Syria and Iraq too, they lived fine as minorities. There was nothing in their laws which made Christians "not safe". They had their churches there as well. We are talking about safety here?

Also there is no reason to single out Christians, as all other people of Middle East deserve to be safe as well, but they are not, and whose fault is that?

People get harassed in Europe, but police is not favoring group of people and pretending they can never catch who did those crimes. There is something rotten from the top.
