"They didn't like the album [ARTPOP]."

I was discussing the subject of label and management support for Gaga's work and I immediately thought of this Skorpion show video from around the album release. Granted, these guys are just bloggers, but considering they knew who to contact to interview Gaga herself in 2011, they probably do know insiders in the industry. Nevertheless, even those "insiders" should be doubted in their view of the 'big picture.'

I told y'all something in the water is not right about Lady Gaga. Come to find out there are all of these reports that Lady Gaga fired Troy Carter. And then, I'm in the club -- I'm talking to an insider -- and they were like, "Yeah, because they don't like the ****ing album." So, I'm like, just because you don't like the album doesn't mean it shouldn't be promoted.

Now it is true that record labels are the one's who decide how an album is promoted...

In light of Gaga's statement, "my partner left me and he told the whole world that I left him," do you believe that these insiders were telling the truth? Did the label not have much faith in ARTPOP?

They had 0 faith in ARTPOP.

That's why they chose DWUW as a single because it had the least possible to do with the ART + POP theme gaga wanted.

You don't deserve a point of view if the only thing you see is you.

They just did not take the album seriously.

We all know who is the most serious about the album and that is Gaga herself. She must have thought "why should I waste my time with these people if they do not believe in what I believe?"

In my messy era.

They didn't promote the album properly because they didn't like it? :deadbanana:
After they saw how well Applause performed, they should have at least been on board with the era.

This is something they should have brought up with her earlier.

You are putting everything onto a big pile tho and make 1 soup out of it.

The label would not have released the album if they would really put their foot down, cause it's their profit, they make the arrangements for that (like studio time etc).

A manager is hired by Gaga to promote the album or work he's been given by the artist. That's his job, it's what he's paid for to do.

If he didn't like the album, tough, make it work, you getting royally paid.

The fact is that she felt he already moved on with other projects while being on her pay roll which is why she felt betrayed and used just for money.

I have to agree just because u didn't like the album that doesn't mean u don't promote it.

In the end it was for the good she split with Troy.

This album could have been a lot of things but sadly it didn't happen and from now on I just hope that no matter what everyone will first trust Gaga and put her always infront not like it was last year.

AND ONE MORE THING HOW ONE EARTH  THEY LIKED BTW AND THEY DID NOT LIKE ARTPOP LIKE WTF BITCH :fthis: #Justice4ARTPOPakaTHEBESTALBUMOFTHEMILLENIUM

Well with BTW they had a lead single that went #1 for like 5 or 6 weeks, so they saw great potential for the album. (That's what I think.) Plus Gaga was huge huge huge when BTW came out.

Because BTW is her best body of work? :spin:

Take a moment to think of just flexibility, love, and trust~
