She always talked about how nobody was controlling her, everything was her own vision and she ran the show. Now, she's talking about how she was controlled in the beginning of her career, and she isn't as happy with her work in hindsight, etc. It makes it seem like all those years were just lies, that nothing was real, even though she made it seem like, and even said it was, real. I don't know, it all just seems contrived now. She used to say that pop music would never be low-brow, but now... It almost seems like she is embarassed of her previous music, because it's pop. No Angel 128 Posted September 8, 2014 Share Posted September 8, 2014 She's made a lot of contradicting statements regarding pop music, so I never truly take her word on that topic. Next year (or whenever the next album comes), she'll probably be saying "Yes, Pop is where my heart is. I could never ever leave it." or something to that degree. I'm not disappointed, more so bored at the moment. Nothing really seems refreshing; which is something I looked to Gaga for ever since she came to the limelight. I knew one day something like this would happen; seeing a slight decline in her popularity. It happens all the time. She can rebound just like all the others. Though I wasn't a fan of ARTPOP and to be honest, I'm not really here for C2C, I still love her and I'll stand by her choices.
