SinAgain 33
First of all it's not a persona, you can literally see pictures of her when she was little and she dressed up as well. Secondly, Gaga isn't changing, she's revealing herself. She's always liked jazz and classic rock. We've known this. Hell, we even wanted a jazz record from her since 2010. And that interview is honestly talking about people like you, not understanding her and where she is coming from. And that interview is also why she wrote Scheiße. Boom. Slay. She wrote Scheibe because of this interview? OMG Are you kidding right? She wrote it in 2011 and the interview is like 3 years before Boom? Salvador Dali 0
The fact that she said "I'm not real, I'm theatre." should be indication enough that she is a character. :awkney:
Ronk 14,762
Yes I went to the madison square garden show and it was honestly boring and I had front row tickets It's always interesting how people see the same thing so differently. I had front row seats in Buffalo and found the concert to be exciting and amazing and full of art. I made a video from my seat, I'd be interested in what you think. http://vimeo.com/100648495 I live outside the space time continuum.
AyaKara 2,281
A lot of people I know say that they preferred her when she was mysterious and don't understand why I love her now. My response is always that it's because she's real.
VTV 12,833
yasss like she used to dont care bout anythin ut now she's so vulnerable. I miss her old aura and persona. THE FAME ERA was perfect imo
13VictorC 1,102
I'm fascinated at all of the opinions we have on who Lady Gaga is.
MJHolland 12,725
Actually, you are really right with that, but the thing that I miss the most in not this shocking element that she had but the "All under control" feel that she transmited. Anyways in part I think that is true that we have get used to how strange Gaga can be Woah that it so true! I never thought of it like that tbh. I guess all of her management was behind the scenes and not out in the open and exposed like it is now. I guess that adds to the element of "secrecy" that people say she has lost, but I kind of like it better now. She just needs to get on her ball! Fusel 1,109
Remember when little managers were like 'Gaga neEDS TO STOP ACTING ALL MYSTERIOUS AMD BECOME MORE RELATABLE HER ACT GETS BORING!!!!!!1' well, here she is
Dreamscape1896 0
I know what you guys mean but an enigma can't always last forever when it's a person... I do miss those days too kind of, she had such a originality about her, she was mysterious but smart and bold. She didn't give away her personal life. In a way, her art certainly was more creative and genuine. Another poster mentioned, where is the disco outfit, the bad outfit .... all the amazing outfits she used to have. Well, they happened... because they're so outlandish and make a statement, she can't use them again and again. Her outfits are not just pretty dresses, which is why they can't just be recycled. Using creativity requires you to have to constantly create something new. That mystery persona only went, or was only created, to such space, at some point, it died. Although Gaga isn't on top right now, she will because, and that's because she was faced loomingly with a choice, die, or change... die, or change... She picked change... had she stayed that way, though no one thinks it now, her career would be dead. Change offers longevity...

So true, and I don't get that so called "mystery" some people see back then. IMO, she was easy to read, just a bit more distant and reserved than today. isaacanthony 142
I just miss those amazing photo shoots she would do during her fame monster/BTW era! examples: and obviously a lot more. Thankfully she is still shooting with Klein :) Either way though, I love how much she has evolved and how much more of an artist she has grown to be. She really has set some standards in the industry.
Cheezr 37
She can literally cut us off and we'd be complaining about theopposite thing. Lol But its truebi like the element of surprise she used to have. She can get back there if she wants I'm sure, but I like this gaga :)

lairofhk 931
To be honest, i feel that she should have retired the whole "Lady Gaga" persona after TFM (or...maybe after BTW). By BTW, her act was already starting to wear a bit thin. Honestly, i feel that after TFM, Lady Gaga accomplished what she set out to accomplish. She was an embodiment of all things pop, from the past and present (and future tbh). She didnt evolve soon enough in my opinion, and as a result, people Grew tired of her very quickly. It also sucks cause she is truly talented, and i feel that she got caught up in her own hype and just completely lost perspective. Heres to hoping she continues to Evolve and explore her many different talents. Oh, also, side note, I feel that BTW humanized her to the point of damaging the Gaga persona.
