When a police officer shots someone, they are immediately put on paid leave. They can't stop his pay, unless he is suspended without pay, due to mounting evidence or something of that nature. *Please don't take this comment as support for this officer or for what happened. I just wonder how long it will take them to gather all the info they need. Allegedly they're holding out on releasing Brown's autopsy information, so it may take a while until we even get simple information. There was no reason this should've escalated the way it has. I fear that if something like this is causing armored vehicles, tear gas and the detaining of journalists it's only going to get worse.
