SKANK 14,288
I was thinking the same thing about Rubin, especially since he's recently talked about her. It'd be a pretty smart move for Gaga's sanity and the critics and fans alike for her to write an album with songs similar to Oh Well. I usually don't get too disappointed with her, but if she doesn't go down this route and channel her metal and rock roots, I'm going to be very upset  I don't listen to a lot of Gaga's demos, b-sides, and unreleased tracks becuse they mostly suck ass (sorry), but Oh Well is outstanding! An album of rock songs that sound like Oh Well produced by Rubin would be marverlous. But regarldess of the specific genere or producer, we all know she is capable of making a great record. I'm excited for the future of her music. Edited August 6, 2014 by SKANK

Eros 26
Wow I had that "What if.." thoughts (Gaga singing power ballads) after watching some Adele live performances yesterday and then this tweet came up
garnite 8
Same!! I think she could really come up with something that's great. And she should never aim to please everyone, but this seems like it would be a good record to change things up and shut people up. Made me sad that you think she's just genre hopping now :( She never claimed she wanted to create a new genre, so I don't think it's healthy to expect that from her. I'm really looking forward to her abandoning this silly rave nonsense. She's so much better than that. of course she should always do what she wants to do yeah. well, it's just based on her saying "i want to do *genre* and *genre* after doing *genre*" and then you look at ARTPOP and it's all really the one genre more or less a few songs. i just don't think people should go into music thinking "okay i am going to follow these tired rules", because that's what it sounds like to my ears. i know she didn't say she wanted to create a new genre but i don't think that forgoes any effort on the experimental/individuality front. i think at the times they were put out, disregarding whether they're good albums or not, tfm and btw do sound pretty individual. or at least they did. agree, i'd go as far as to say that she is much better than probably anything musically she's put out in her career. that's what made her exciting for me in the first place, and that's why for it seems limiting when she makes statements like this. but i know she has it in her to do cool stuff with it. let's hope she does. LoveandMagic 1,731
I'd be for this! But seriously, as long as the music's good, I'm happy. Just please, let it be a smooth launch and a well planned era. Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."

stackhouse 3
Ugh. You & I, TEOG and Gypsy are some of my least favourite Gaga songs. Along with Dope, Speechless etc I love a good power ballad as much as the next gay but not when Gaga does it. Disappointed with her to say the least Gaga was born for trance & RnB. Give us some So Happy I Could Die, Do What U Want realness with Nothing On (But The Radio) as the lead single and call it a day Edited August 6, 2014 by JackGermanotta

PrinceGaga 7,585
I'm SO ANNOYED with this fanbase. "I'M NOT HERE FOR (X)" Why cant we hear the music first? Why must things be so black and white? Artists like the beatles didnt stick to one genre, they became legends because they had amazing ideas and ran with them. Gaga isn't an artist who plays it safe, ARTPOP was a pretty safe route and people noticed it right away, she could (and has) done better. If you want safe pop music, there's a billion artists to choose from. We're here because we know this b---h is crazy passionate about her job, and she wants to make amazing things happen. The ARTPOP era was messy (she fired her manager, lots of drama, videos werent released, etc) but have some faith. It's Lady ****'in Gaga. This! Totally agree with you here.
