Jase 13,317
We all saw it coming but it didn't make it any less frustrating. The scene itself was horrificly tense - the dialogue was on POINT ("I'm gonna beat the holy hell outta one of you" - that gave me f'n chills), the way JDM played Negan was terrifyingly good - but it all came to such a huge anticlimax. We all associate Negan with extreme violence and mayhem - for them to just cut away was a pussy way out and shows a huge lack of balls from both the producers and the network. Rant over - I'm REALLY excited about seeing JDM as a regular going forward. He brought such a charisma to how he portrayed Negan to the point where I'm going to find it extremely difficult to dislike him. It's gonna be a long 6-7 months. UGH. Jase 13,317
So that's THREE TIMES they've trolled us this season. First it was the Glenn mess, then last week with fans thinking Daryl was killed off, now the finale...I mean, once I can kinda forgive, but three times over the course of 16 episodes? That's actually cruel.
Alphaz 7,956
fans should throw rotten eggs to the person who suggested a cliffhanger finale to teach them a lesson don't mess with the fans that slow downed audio gave me goosebumps, I can't imagine the horrifying visual
n0ne 13,105
This will turn out to be most polarizing and at the same time most hated episode of The Walking Dead. I really liked the finale and this season overall though. A good fan theory is that it was Glenn because of the POV camera angle. It was used for him when we thought he died, when he was in the van on the way to the lineup, and now with the his real death (if it is him). Robert Kirkman also said there were hints to who it was and that's a pretty big hint. He also said "we lost a beloved character" but statement is probably general and not specific. Glenn is kind of a cop out because of his plot in season 6, but I would probably still get sad over his death. I really want it to be someone who's death will emotionally devastate not just the characters but the viewers as well. So I want it to be between: Daryl, Carl, Glenn, Maggie, or Michonne. The others are significant characters to varying degrees and people have become attached to them in some capacity, but I doubt any of their deaths would affect people as much the characters mentioned above. And it can't be Rick, it just can't. I know people say "kill Daryl and we'll riot" but if they killed off Rick, I think I would have trouble watching the show and I think they would lose a good amount of the fanbase. That's not a good idea, since they want the show to last several more seasons. "My people… need to let our bitchiness out. ryhanna 3,507
I liked the finale up until the end. The season itself disappointed me a lot, though.
Miker 5,683
They have until October before they really need to decide on who they want to dispose of. Any angle of any camera, etc. doesn't matter in the final sequence. The producer can still change the character to whomever he wants to be dead so I don't understand all the guessing people are making. Mars..........or bust! Alphaz 7,956
from the angle when Negan told his people to take out Carl's eye and feed to Rick if he moves, looks like it will be between Abraham, Glenn, Michonne, Rosita, Maggie or Daryl Glenn is my first pick, Abraham is my second ughh.... I need to stop speculating

They begin shooting usually in May, so they'd only have a month before filming to decide. I think they already decided, they probably prep and/or make a template for the upcoming season while the current season is airing. I'd doubt they change who the victim is, Scott Gimple and Robert Kirkman seemed certain on Talking Dead. "My people… need to let our bitchiness out. See I doubt that; they take fan consideration to extent. Otherwise why would they do the cliffhanger in the season 6 finale, kill Andrea off before she really became her badass comic counterpart (and while she's still a vital character in the comics), and fake us out with Glenn's apparent death. They know their fanbase and they knew these things would anger fans and test fans patience. And with this decision, it would be harder to take fan input as almost everyone is uncertain who it could be and have been basically theorizing how it could be anyone of them that got killed. The only way I really seem them using some kind of influence from fans for this decision, is them picking someone that fans least expect out of the lineup. The death is the beginning of Season 7 and sets up the rest of the season, They'd want to have they set in stone, otherwise they would have to keep restarting and adjusting the plot. Ambrosia 3,775
At the risk of being very unpopular, I will admit I loved the ending. I don't need to see the brutality; I have a pretty wild imagination and can think up quite a lot. Plus, I liked and care about all those characters, (granted some more than others) I don't want to actually see any one of them bludgeoned to death. I thought the blood running down and Negan's voice going hazy, and then blacking out and hearing screams was perfect and all I needed. The look of defeat and despair on all of their faces was staggering. Rick literally looked like a deer caught in headlights and it was devastating. The emotion in their eyes when they realized how it all came to an end was much more upsetting to me than a CGI showing someone's skull being bashed in. To me, it doesn't matter who it is. It was a loss for the group, a measure of defeat. At this point, I'd be okay with it being any of them as they were all equal that night. I found it interesting that Morgan with his "All life is precious" mantra and his desire to avoid killing where possible and Carol's coming to terms with her deeds and holding the rosary beads led them to, what it seems, some really cool and helpful people who are a stark opposite from the Saviors - and ironic they are called that. Sends an interesting message and we all know about Karma. I love the show for all these levels and will keep watching until the end. Do not do to others what angers you if done to you by others. -Socrates
Gardevoir 9,823
So good there is a thread about The Walking Dead, cause I wanted to share my opinion about the final episode of season 6. Wow, The whole episode was pretty good in my opinion, but at the end Spoiler When they were caught by Negan's people, and that moment when Negan appeared. It was so emotional and stressfull for me. I haven't felt like that in a long while during watching a movie. My bet is that it could be Abraham, because they made him a whole story revealing and he opened up a bit about himself. I'm 100% sure that is not a women, Daryl, Glenn, cause they wouldn't survive the first strike with the condition they had. Carl, It won't be Carl since he was bargaining chip in that situation for Rick, in case anybody moved or has taken any actions. Tara wasn't even there (the actress is pregnant by the way), Daryl is also the most liked character in the show so they woudn't kill him, It would be tragic commercial move. Glenn is somehow immortal on this show, but it was him whom was murdered in comics, but comics and series are two totally different things. Sugar, spice, and everything nice. I don't know if I've ever felt so sick watching a TV show. I almost had to turn it off. The tension really ramps up. I won't spoil it, because I know most of you watch it later than when it first airs. yes, exactly my thoughts on this! Sugar, spice, and everything nice.
