VforVendetta 2,024
Production is a mess. Its tons of noisy synths mixed together and then she added express yourself melody over that It doesn't even have that many similarites with express yourself. Some parts of the melody only and this is common for many songs. The production alone doesn't define a single anyway.

ReRe 1,957
This is true. Let's be honest though, GUY song and video were made for only one reason, to smash. A very catchy and generic song for Gaga standarts with the most visually appealing video Gaga had made since PokerFace. Everything screamed " the generic dance hit of the album" and now that it flopped it seems even worse and less interesting than another flop likee MTN. MTN flopped as well but everybody knew that both the song and the video were not something easily acceptable from the masses and so even if it flopped the song still stands on it's own in Gaga's singles discography because it was not a smash waiting to happen. GUY one the other hand is the kind of song that was made for one reason, to smash, the same as the video and this makes it even worse now. The song has completely faded in my eyes. That's no reason to stop liking the song and video though. :excuseme: If the Grammys still really judge music by its quality, and not its impact and success, then the G.U.Y. Deserves the award. Luc 4,775
True. This proves how over the years, the Grammy Awards are being more success oriented rather than quality oriented. If ARTPOP isn't Grammy worthy, then PRISM DEFINITELY isn't as well. That is an unbiased opinion coming from someone who has listened to both albums and judged them with a neutral prospective. PRISM is more grammy material than ARTPOP.. It's full of ballads.

Deserves the award. No it's not. I never liked it a lot. Now that the song has flopped it does seem worse to me though and I know that this is not right but htis is how it is and that's because this song was only made to be a hit and nothing more. I mean the GUY part of the video as well is extremely appealing to the eyes, Gaga is extremely beautiful all the time (something unusual for her) and everything seems great but it isn't. It's just not something Gaga does, Gaga's songs and videos are not only made to be appealing and easy to digest and this is what both the song and the video scream to me. It's only my opinion obviously but this is how I see it. :)
ReRe 1,957
PRISM is more grammy material than ARTPOP.. It's full of ballads. So ballads are the only type of songs which are likely to win Grammys now? :excuseme: And let me remind you, Dope or Gypsy alone overshadow all of PRISM's ballads. Legendary Lovers is the only one which really shines.

ReRe 1,957
Really? But it was last year as well. This.. It was released in October '12, so it was eligible for this year's Grammys. Idt it's eligible anymore..

Maybe some singles like Red and The Last Time and the Sweeter than fiction soundtrack but except from the soundtrack that maybe has a slight chance, all others are irrelevant.
