It's called an opinion...not being rude or negative...

Sheesh...anything that doesn't agree with the OP or the majority view is deemed negative and rude :fail:

Excuse me, but one-gif/one-word replies are rude when in response to something somebody has spent time to create. And I think you'll find that I responded to the majority with my first post above, sis, therefore I was against the majority view (which, btw, were RUDE) at that particular time.

Sheesh.

I actually like the idea, it makes a change from the thousands of face shot covers

uuuuuggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh no. It's still rude. Someone presented something they made that they were happy with and wanted to share with others. I know expressing your unapologetic opinion in a thread like this is super important, but would it kill you to just say something nice or don't say anything at all?

He asked what do you think...am I gonna lie?? :awkney:

Tbh...there wasn't anything I liked about it...did you want every post to be "i love it" or "It's flawless"?? :smh:

The questions I asked were nice...legitimate questions

I think it's fun.

I mean, I'm a sucker for graphic-concept complexity, which is evident here when

the album's name is "cheek to cheek" yet both are evidently quite separated from each other and, moreover, their cheeks are not even visible. It's interesting.

But pulling off complex concepts like this is quite hard, and I think this one needs a lot of work because of the fact that you don't put the artists names, so you can't tell who they are. You can't see their heads, and Gaga's outfit is kinda out of character for typical Gaga, so it's not an obvious look. All this makes the cover look like two annonymous singers. You're erasing two massive artists, hence reducing the impact a cover with these people could have. And I think that's what people are instinctively reacting to.

Keep creating! Your idea seems quirky, it just needs polishing.

Gaga's face is not very visible in both covers, true.

But remember that each design is unique, and follows a very specific concept.

It's important to remember that when you create, the concept of your work is the unifying factor

and the most important aspect to consider. Things will be right or wrong depending on what

you were actually trying to achieve.

Looking at it that way, you could say that DWUW is a great cover, because the concept is clear,

and is true to itself. Venus is a bit more tricky, and I think you can tell the concept was too broad,

so they had to make several covers.

Finally, don't try to compare what you did to Gaga's official artworks, because they're so different.

I can see you tried to make the characters look closer to each other, but ask yourself this:

Did you do it to make them fit? or because it conceptually makes sense?
