Jjang 2,262
*But I can't imagine Katy or Rihanna having a BTW album, they're all DIFFERENT artists, they all take risks in their own different departments.

420 1,042
I just want to make something clear, Gaga did not really took risk. whatevs anyway, i don't think any of her peers could and would want to take as much risk as gaga, even madonna. ain't nobody got time for dat risky and complicated ****. What risks has Katy taken for example? do you know the name of prism's second single? yes, it's dark horse. 너와의 어색한 침묵이 차라리 좋아

Jjang 2,262
What risks has Katy taken for example? *Her 1st single was a Lesbian anthem, Dark Horse wasn't exactly generic but i wouldn't title it risky, UC was a ballad so... *Rihanna had Rated R, songs like Man Down etc... *Sure Gaga takes a lot of risks, but her only big risk really was BTW, and she was riding off TFM's HUGE hype and success back then, ARTPOP wasn't exactly "risky". Emvee 8,403
Judas must be her more risky song, and even that it's not even that risky. People besides religious ones wouldn't pay attention to the lyrics. Gaga always kept a standard in her music, a mix between heavy techno sounds with some organic sounds. She don't take any real risk. BTW was centered around homos-xuality as far the GP was concerned. how is that not a risk? The imagery for the BTW in general was out of they ordinary. Why do you think half the fan base couldn't stop complaining that she looked ugly. Musically, BTW was not a risk, but it wasn't exactly following mainstream EDM. But at least Gaga doesn't crawl back to Dr. Luke or StarGate for a hit.

TimisaMonster 31,073
No...artists like Katy, Rihanna, Britney, even Beyonce wouldn't dare pull off things like Gaga has. They're too afraid to damage their reputation, to change their sound, and to express who they TRULY want to be. They play safe, but Gaga plays dangerously close to the edge of what society will accept. This is the definition of fearless... Stream my new single, 💜"Heartbeat"💜, on Spotify! In my opinion non of things Katy has done can be labeled as risky. All the staff she does is too tame and conventional. Also, ARTPOP may not be as risky as BTW, but is still pretty risky. I mean listen to the variety of sounds, the type of themes/ lyrics, and even some of the imagery.

Houdini 103
that's the past, sis. i'm talking about right now, currently, nowadays. ok so because it was past doesn't count ? honestly, in all respect, what Gaga did ''risky'' for you Madonna did it way harder and way before. Houdini 103
so you're saying it's not risky 'at all'? Not very, homos-xuality is well accepted nowadays in modern market. for proofs, it sold more than 7 million and was #1. I don't think a risky thing can bring such big mass.
