But none of you can guarantee that will work because it always has the probability of failure, which means that all her work was wasted anyways.

At 15 though, you should know to NOT send naked photos. So why did she do it?

Ok let's be honest, parent to parent. We simply do not know all the tricks, our kids did not come with a manual.

We make mistakes, our kids make mistakes, we're not better then the smaller version we created.

Failure in parenting will always happen no matter how hard you try, what works for one child does not work for another. One thing I just cannot see is hitting my kid to tell them what is appropriate or not. How can I even reason with acting out like that but expect them to do better? Like what kind of sense makes that?

Your road might fail just as hard, so far mine is working fine (for me), who's right then?

:awkney: i cant at some of you still trying to defend this disgusting mother, i mean you really think WHIPPING a child is teaching them anything? you really think treating a child like an animal in a circus is right? i mean an animal obviously doesn't deserve this either but do you realise how stupid you sound by saying if a child doesn't do what they're told they deserve to be WHIPPED for over 6 minutes while crying, screaming and begging for her mother to stop to the point where she is on the floor getting an even WORSE beating across the head while she just sits their helpless and basically unable to move? but that's alright because she sent a nude, WOW, IT'S A NUDE, i mean obviously she shouldn't have sent one but children make mistakes and learn from them through COMMUNICATION, not through VIOLENCE, all that is going to do is ruin any trust and bond she ever had with her mother while also turning her into a violent person herself :smh:

i hope ya'll who think this is ok are unable to have kids, ciao :later:

No road is working yet because you won't know what your kid will become until you're near your 60s and can't judge this mother like all of you have been doing.

If you had a difficult child or your child posted naked photographs and sent them to multiple boys, and damaged their own social life as well as chances for employment while you are an immigrant who came to the United States to make sure that your child does nothing but succeed, then maybe you'll understand.

Most of you don't understand her view because you haven't lived through it yet. In a country with few rights, she did everything in her power to come to the USA to raise her kids to have a better life. Money for plane tickets doesn't come cheap, and starting from nothing isn't easy.

Just because you can't see this woman's struggle makes her a terrible and ineffective parent when she's probably accomplished more for her children than most of you have your whole lives.

How sad.

First of, please keep that tone out of the conversation, I do not appreciate it at all.

I have a feeling you are projecting a little? You made already a whole scenario up about their background, what conversations the mom had with her daughter etc. You judged it too and you judged it as acceptable. we all judge this situation.

Please read a bit deeper cause you could have picked up the words "so far" about my parenting status, instead of giving me a whole lecture.

But until you are an immigrant that came to a country with nothing, you will not understand her situation, at all.

And that's a fact.

It's clear she's from the Caribbean, though her exact country of origin remains unknown.

Edit: Also, it's ok for you to call her a terrible mother but get upset when someone questions your parenting?

Hmm, seems terribly familiar.

I wonder what the girl's and mother's reaction would be if they knew they spurred a 17 page discussion on a Lady Gaga forum :rip:

I am an imigrant to the Netherlands, I moved here when I was 6 so yes I know what it is to leave everything behind but the clothes on your body.

Wait, again, please just read what I said, I pointed out that I KNOW that it's too early to make a final judgement on my parenting but SO FAR it's working. I'm pointing out your reading of my posts if anything :wtf:

But you're willing to judge this woman and have no idea what her child will turn out like and what this could have prevented?

The sheer hypocrisy as well as judgement. :wtf:

I hope they have a healthy conversation.  Projection from my side: I would have appreciated it if my mom would have done that with me to keep a trust bond. Cause for me, that's what she damaged with that kind of lashing out like that parent did in the vid.

And here we are back to square one, you can't tell in this case cause you cannot "resample" with another test.

The fact that it's illegal still stands, no matter what other "wrongs" you wanna pull to the table.

I asked you in a friendly manner to keep that tone to yourself earlier but I see it has no point. Your passive agressiveness is really a turn off, sorry but I'm out.

Actually in the US it is corporal punishment in the home is not illegal in most states.

And I asked why you're judging this woman's parenting but are very reluctant and defensive on your own?

It's not a passive argument, it's a prevalent issue in the thread and everyone here acts like a social justice warrior but is so one sided its a bit sad.

It's a healthy conversation nobody wants to talk about because they fear being judged by the 20% of Americans that don't utilize corporal punishment.

Lemme just copy paste it for you since you keep now coming back to the thing that I explained earlier:

Why do you continue to ignore the real issue at hand :lmao:

I still don't see how you think because you're judging this woman's parenting and have no idea how her daughter will end up and then re-shifting the statement to focus it back to you instead of the real issue at hand really helps your case of judging her earlier in your posts.

But ok, have your passive argument and leave the thread if need be.
