Lady Gaga couldn't physically be at the 2017 American Music Awards on Sunday night, but that didn't stop the Joanne superstar from absolutely slaying the show's red carpet. Gaga set up her own mini red carpet backstage at her show in Washington, D.C. and posed for a series of pictures in a gorgeous black dress, designed by Azzedine Alaia who passed away this weekend.
"There was no one who did what he did," Gaga said of the late fashion icon. "No one knew a woman’s body like him. He should be celebrated as one of the greatest fashion designers the world has ever known. I️ love you, Azzedine. I️’m devastated I️ didn’t get to say goodbye."
