Am I weird for thinking this a completely normal take? I don't hate JLo, but I don't love her either. I'm very indifferent towards her, but regardless of that, Ayo's talking like a completely normal person here. Like, she's not making this grand statement or something. She's just having a conversation with someone on a podcast, and truthfully, it sounds like the way a lot of y'all talk about various artists too. It's so weird to me that stan culture and people online can say the most heinous and outrageous things about celebrities but the moment that another celebrity says something mildly offensive—if you can even call what Ayo said here "offensive"—about another celebrity people wanna act like saints. It ain't that big of a deal.

so as we’ve discussed, studios love to premiere big trailers in front of movies from their own studio. (by premiere, i mean post online on wednesday or thursday the week the movie is coming out so that it can play in front of the movie in theaters opening weekend.) the studios often make sure these trailers get the slot right before the movie starts, as that is the most seen one. since joker is a warner bros movie, people have been widely speculating that the trailer could premiere the week of dune, which is arguably warner bros’ biggest movie of the year. dune screenings have begun for industry folks, and the reactions have been incredible. rumors going around the industry are comparing it to the dark night and to the empire strikes back. this movie could be HUGE. maybe this isn’t exciting to some people, but i am practically giddy thinking about how many people are going to see gaga’s trailer right before dune starts if this movie is as big as industry folks are starting to think it will be (and if the trailer actually is being packaged with dune). joker’s massive promo campaign may be starting off with a giant bang !! i’m seeing dune opening night in IMAX. cannot wait to see ACADEMY AWARD WINNER LADY GAGA plastered on a giant imax screen for the first time. here are some tweets about dune reactions:

I was looking at the shoot by nick knight and once again felt inspired to draw her but this time I tried to focus on capturing her likeness in a more stylized art style. I originally planned for her to be on the black background like the cover but then decided to sort of recreate the studio floor that can be seen in the actual shoot, as if she was really a motorcycle hybrid and Nick was capturing this “photo” live. What do you think? Feedback is much appreciated!

People really have no knowledge of the popular vocal mixing styles of the late 90s/early 2000s when she debuted, which is fine I guess because that shouldn’t be common knowledge but when you use it as material for jokes it just doesn’t make sense for people who do know. I took classes in college that briefly covered this but it was quite common for artists, especially R&B to keep demo vocals on their records. Tons of reasons for it but it can give a “girl group” type of sound to a solo artist. JLo always sings the verses and then does ad libs or is layered on top of the demo vocal on choruses- again quite common. The singers are all credited too. Whether someone personally didn’t know about it isn’t her scamming or lying. They would have said it was demo vocals when the songs came out. There are tons of examples of this from popular artists, especially on popular songs we all listen to but nobody seems to care. Have your opinions on the practice sure, but to act as if she’s the only popular artist that did this is incredibly dumb.

Going by the tours, I think I loved her C2C and Joanne vocals the most. But there was something so special about those early TF/TFM vocals, that BBC 1 cover of Viva La Vida and this Poker Face performance is burned into my brain. I don't think it's vocal peak but it gave me goosebumps and I loved that voice so much

Super entertaining episode. Dawn really impressed me, right when I was ready to abandon her Front runner Q's suddenly problematic character balancing out Plane's shadiness is excellent tv. Also, Plane once again proving she's got the goods on stage The saga continues. Mhi'ya seems inevitably next to go but I gotta say, she completely delivered during that challenge and looked epic. Tragic that she can't extend that to her overall presence and runway looks. Nymphia being the silent assassin is iconic. And, Jesus, that runway. I'm so sad she didn't get critiques.

To be honest this makes me sad sometimes thinking about how back in the days her creative team was always miles ahead. I know someone says she is not the same person anymore, she is more mature, she doesnt need that, or some says budget isn'tworth for only few days of shows, but I don't think that's a reason at all. They can do much better I reckon.
