This is going to be out of order, so forgive me on that. - Gaga absolutely loves Replay, and was obsessed with BURNS' production on it. - At the beginning of the episode, Gaga said "We all know I love a good vogue." - Gaga explains that just because someone makes a better melody than her own, it doesn't mean that the other person who wrote the melody was bad, just to be in favor of her melody in the first place. - Gaga, and BURNS talked about an old demo of Sour Candy, and how it came along much later in the writing process whereas Stupid Love was done two, and a half years before that. - She made music for Chromatica, in the dark, because of her depression, and slowly came back to life while making it. - She had a hard time making ARTPOP with the producers because they weren't willing to work with each other, or with her. They were too rigid for her. - Next week's special guest, for episode 3, is "someone very near, and dear to me who is also on the record", with LM's speculating that it's either Ariana, or Elton. - BURNS said that the reason why Chromatica is so cohesive is because Gaga allowed the producers, and writers into her life. - Gaga said that she feels like something dies every time she puts out an album, whether it's something, or somebody. She also said that something died inside of her that no longer served her, and it felt like an exorcism. - Gaga believes Sour Candy is a stroke of genius. She described it as dance-pop with K-Pop influence. - BURNS, and BloodPop wanted Chromatica to be timeless. - Gaga did the Sour Candy rap over the original track. - Gaga mentioned that at 19, she started out in the music business, and wrote music for other artists, and "tons of different producers". She also said that the producers wanted her to work on a track, or two, and leave the room, so she just wrote for those tracks, and then left too. - Gaga said the Chromatica producers were egoless, and were willing to work with her, and said that it wasn't a "This track is mine, don't touch it" situation. - BURNS would make stuff "on the fly", and look around to ask if anyone liked what he was making while BloodPop would change around some things if needed. - Gaga said that people love Replay, and said it was most specifically about what it's like to have posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and BURNS said she went through a lot of pain making it. - Gaga asked BURNS what it was like seeing her have a panic attack, or trauma response, and have to leave, and take medicine, and how different it made him feel about Chromatica. He said it made him have a real understanding of what it was all like for her. The songwriting was like part therapy to her, and it made BURNS said he realized how important it was to get Chromatica right for her. - BURNS said that Gaga wasn't afraid to show her bravery to him. - Gaga trusted everything that BURNS, and BloodPop made on Chromatica. - Gaga asked BURNS if he had a favorite memory of Chromatica, with or without her. He said that the album was at his height of his musical experience, and he said he enjoyed the team of other producers, and writers working with Gaga on the album. - She said she had to relinquish some semblance of control when it came to the stories she was telling about her life, and engage with her producers on how she could tell those stories in a different way. - One of BURNS' fondest memories was playing Gaga his version of Rain On Me, and he said it was their first time in the studio together, and Gaga said she cried when it was finished.

I made this after MTV announcing her perform at the MTV VMA's, and the thing I keep saying on my mind is, "SHE'S BACK!" Full poster here: I'm really excited for her first ever live performance of Chromatica.

Look guys, conventionally speaking if she's slated to perform Rain on Me, they would announce Lady Gaga & Ariana Grande, like how the Grammys announced Lady Gaga & Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga & Metallica for Cheek to Cheek and Moth into Flame. They are usually very clear about this so that you know it's a tribute performance, a collaboration, or a cover. They even made Gaga's Bowie tribute performance very clear and mentioned Bowie's name directly. We know Ariana's name is not announced, which means that this is a GAGA performance, with the addition of Ariana Grande maybe. They also multiply confirmed Chromatica's involvement with the performance, which is natural but what's important is that she will perform more than just Rain on Me. They repeatedly mention 'CHromatica' the album and not just RoM the song. another clue is if you look at how other performers are announced, they are announced in a 'trio package', evne someone as huge as The weeknd was announced along with two other artists. For Gaga, they dedicated one entire announcement to her ALONE. If she's gonna perform just a popular single like RoM, why the special treatment? She's very likely to be serving a medley and possibly might even be the Vanguard recipient. She's leading with the nominations and is most likely to win VOTY and AOTY and SOTY, the VMAs clearly want this year to be Gaga's year. We getting a Lemonade-esque medley from Gaga yall. Get ready for her Vanguard! I also think that the repeated mentioning of Chromatica, and how Chromatica is a whole concept with its own universe and character, means that she will NOT perform any of her old hits like Just Dance and Bad Romance, she's doing Chromatica full-blown. She's already done a Super Bowl, and several career-medley concerts like Enigma and Coachella, it's natural for her to do it Beyonce-style this time round.

" A source told In Touch that the couple are currently "taking some time apart," according to an article published Thursday (August 13). “The [original plan] was that Camila would go back to Los Angeles with him,” the insider claimed in regards to the pair's future quarantine plans. “But they decided they needed to take a break from each other.” "Despite their busy careers, they’ve spent much of the past year together," the source added. "They were in love and were best friends — they still are. The past year was a whirlwind for them and they supported each other so much. Nothing really went bad between them, they just realized they need some time apart." They apparently needed "a little space to grow individually," even though it was hard for both of them. “They still talk and love each other,” the source assured. The last time Cabello posted a photo of Mendes on her Instagram account was on May 23 with a snapshot of the pair and their dogs. Elle unveiled Cardi B as their September cover star on Tuesday (Aug. 11), and in her cover story, the outspoken rapper got candid about the murder of Breonna Taylor, her upcoming sophomore album and more. "That is so insane to me," she said of the 26-year-old EMT, who was fatally shot while asleep by three Louisville police officers executing a no-knock search warrant on her apartment back in March. And while Taylor's name has gone viral in the months since her tragic death, Cardi called out her male counterparts in the world of hip-hop for not speaking out more in support of the murdered Black first responder. "A woman like Breonna Taylor, she was young," she told Elle. "She looked like she was listening to your music. She looked like she was your fan. You should stick up for her." Yall DO NOT let this album flop. There are actually artists who want to perform their music live and promote it. Katy also has a record of visiting a lot of countries Gaga doesn't visit and I was fortunate enough to see Witness twice, she was magnificent. She said it's too fun and thematic of an album to miss out performing live. at 32:22 On a side note, at 29:29 (somewhere around) she said any track that didn't make it on Smile might make it on KP6 (confirming that this is not her last album, like how some pop fans are speculating).

it is BY DEFINITION discriminatory to accept a black student over a white student because they are black and the other is white. like that is literally a perfect example of discrimination

Because they haven't done anything outstanding yet... Dua Lipa had her biggest chance with Future Nostalgia... but it didn't meet the standards. DSN and Physical were perfect singles... but the rest of the album really didn't live up to those singles. Camila has been dominating since 2017... so I'd say she's a main pop girl Normani has had issues with her label Ava Max hasn't hit the mark. ... and it continues. Nobody has REALLY gone for it

For those unfamiliar with it, you can access the Gagadaily archives and look through threads of ye olden days. Back when the disco stick was still controversial, admin allowed image signatures and GaGa was still capitalized in funny ways . So I thought it would be fun to zoom in on the reactions to what we now consider her signature hit. Obviously some things have changed, but some types of reactions have remained quite similar Reacting to the single announcement & the first leak [link] • "Finally a name!!! I'm so excited! Can't wait to hear it on SNL...hope it's really goood!!!" • "It has a very weird name." **demo leaks** • "It's epic. After one listen, I can't get it out of my head." • "It sounds like Christmas Tree turned into Not-A-Christmas-Song." • "Don't Call My Name was a lot better than this in my opinion." Reacting to the premiere at Alexander McQueen [link] • "apparently her voice is deeper and they took off the MUH MUH MUH. WTF! that was my favorite part." • "wow how do you not hear any difference?? It sounds 1000x better!!" • "them girls must of felt great walking down the catwalk to the sound of gaga, them shoes were crazy looked ike animal hooves" [different thread] Reacting to the official release [link] • "YASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS" (yassing was already happening in 2009? ) • "Awesome! I'm putting it on a disc with some other newly downloaded GaGa." • "official Halloween anthem 2009 !!!!" • "Its good, but not great. I feel like she should have left the "screaming part" out" • "Am I the only one that LOVES the screaming at the end? It gave chills...I can't wait to see it live." • "People like the DEMO BETTER? WTFrench? Crazy ass people! I <3 This song!" • "It sounded a lot better on the demo. This won't be as big of a hit as her previous singles but it's still good." Reacting to the video teaser [link] • "This may sound weird, But i've been doing that claw thing with my hands ever sense the first time i heard the song <3" • "The video reminds me of Die Another Day by Madonna, only a brighter version." • "The scenes when she has white hair look absolutely beautiful. They just look so vulnerable and she looks really really beautiful." • "It's kinda scary *lol* But I really like it, GaGa looks amazing *.*" --- Sadly I couldn't find the music video reaction thread. I'll add it to the OP if someone finds it Feel free to browse the archives and dig up gems from other threads
