Let's be realistic: Taylor is like fast food. Easy and simple. Gaga requires effort and skill.

is actually a VERY good song! Everyone is hating on it right now, but actually the more people that hate it the more I want to defend it because I remember how I felt when I first heard it and that was an AMAZINGLY produced song with AMAZING vocals and a very good deep meaning. I never thought it was generic until people started pointing it out, and it got to the point where because of all the negativity around it, it made me grow to hate it, like as if the internet is trying to "cancel" someone, like Shane for example, a lot of those people are actually people who are just tagging along because they want to blend in with the crowd basically. Well I'm not gonna fall for your scheme anymore Gaga Daily, I'm fed up with all this constant hate over a great song that Gaga loves. If you don't like it that's completely fine and you're free to feel that way, 100%, but why the constant negativity? There's a LOT of things that I hate like songs, artists, and just celebrities in general, but I rarely say that I don't like them or even talk about them, like I said, your past internet sayings will always come back to haunt you so if I get bigger in the future people will find these things that I could've said and that's just not something I need in my life With that said, you're free to dislike Free Woman and even say it whenever wherever by Shakira you want, but by talking about how no one should like it BECAUSE it's so generic and lyrically not much in-depth, gurl that's YOUR opinion that you might share with some people, I think Free Woman would make an AMAZING single and probably have one of the best music videos from this era, who knows, always think positively!

According to this post, one of the well-known radio stations in the US, 103.5 KISS FM, said, on their broadcast, that Free Woman officially impacts pop radio in the US this week. I guess we are getting another single.

I wasn't really contented with the outcome of my first work on this which you can see here: Original Posters, So I made a revamped version - which is more detailed and improved than the first ones I made! HD versions here: Gaga actually noticed and tweeted about the old posters before!

I don't think there is much to debate : there was no promo and the album came out at the worse timing possible (pandemic + protest). And even in this situation Chromatica didn't flopped.
  13. 26 points
She promoted the fk out of Joanne, Chromatica got minimal exposure

Well, as many of you know Katy delayed her album to August 28th. Therefore, the submissions will open that day. The new deadline for voting is September 11th and the Ceremony will be held on September 12th. I hope you guys are still interested in participating! Love, Nuggets xo #18DaysToSmile

The way she is going to DOMINATE pence in the debates and he is going to go running home to his mother I'm glad she was chose, either her or warren was perfect. Also this means 99 percent chance Harris will be president in 2024

Cheap 90s house beats that only the gays would love TBH. If she put out a sleeker album that was more cool it would have smashed several times harder. At least this time she doesn’t have reputational damage bogging her down, she can easily come out with better albums and smash again in the future.

Free Woman is going to flop HARD. She should've went with Alice or Replay
  21. 20 points
I feel like Replay as a single would be a perfect way for Gaga to reclaim her freak, monster, dark and weird vibe If this is something she wants to do obviously. It has never left through her career and there's elements of that in the Rain On Me video Truly she is the Monster Of Pop, it's her thing and I have a strong feeling that the GP and fans are here for it (from reactions on youtube) Can you just imagine Replay as a single around Halloween Thriller/Bad Romance 2.0 incoming

I hate negative threads especially if it's about Gaga and her art but even though I love Free Woman, it is the WORST song on Chromatica besides 1000 Doves. I don't think it will be as successful as previous singles. This album is full of potential hits but Free Woman is not one of them imo. I didn't make this thread to spread negativity but to understand the hype behind it. Can someone explain why do you think Free Woman should be a single? (Again, I love Free Woman but not as much as the rest of the album)

This. I'm sorry, and look, maybe this is blasmephous to say, but I feel like a lot of people here overestimate Gaga's popularity in the GP. Don't get me wrong, Gaga is respected and loved by people, but she's just not as popular as she used to be. Taylor is just objectively the more popular artist, and quite frankly, a lot of today's artists are more "popular" than Gaga—at least right now. Will those artists have the longevity that Gaga has? Only time will tell, but the fact of the matter is that Gaga herself is fairly niche (for lack of a better term) now. Again, a lot of the GP respect her as an artist, but she's just not as big as she once was.

Of course corona is a main reason. Why would anyone disregard that or view it as an excuse? She literally cancelled a whole stadium tour because of it. There’s only so much promotion she can do in this current environment. Not to mention, no venues are even open... Rain On Me would have blown up even bigger if the gays were allowed to hit up their clubs/bars.

We have no choice but to stan the incomparable, and the iconic genius herself, Kathy Bates. She's starred in several movies over the years, and that includes her very first major role in "Misery", all the way back in 1990. Who is Kathy Bates, might you ask? Born in Memphis, Tennessee, she studied theatre at the Southern Methodist University before moving to New York City to pursue an acting career. She landed minor stage roles before being cast in her first on screen role in Taking Off (1971). Her first Off-Broadway stage performance was in the 1976 production of Vanities. Throughout the 1970s, and early 1980s, she continued to perform on screen and on stage, and garnered a Tony Award nomination for Best Lead Actress in a Play in 1983 for her performance in 'night, Mother, and won an Obie Award in 1988 for her performance in Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune. Bates' performance as Annie Wilkes in the horror film Misery (1990) marked her Hollywood breakthrough, winning her the Academy Award for Best Actress. Further acclaim came for her starring role in Dolores Claiborne (1995), The Waterboy (1998), and supporting roles in Fried Green Tomatoes (1991), and Titanic (1997). The latter, in which she portrayed Molly Brown, became the highest-grossing film to that point. Bates received subsequent Oscar nods in the Best Supporting Actress category for her work in Primary Colors (1998), About Schmidt (2002), and Richard Jewell (2019). Bates' television work has resulted in 14 Emmy Award nominations, including two for her leading role on the NBC series Harry's Law (2011–12). She won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for her appearance on the ninth season of Two and a Half Men (2012) and the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Miniseries or Movie for her portrayal of Delphine LaLaurie on the third season of American Horror Story (2014). She also received accolades for her portrayal of Miss Hannigan in the 1999 television adaptation of Annie. Her directing credits include several episodes of the HBO television series Six Feet Under (2001–03) and the television film Ambulance Girl (2005). Kathy's most famous, and well-known roles: Misery (1990) -- Annie Wilkes Titanic (1997) -- Molly Brown Annie (1999) -- Miss Agatha Hannigan AHS: Coven (2013) -- Madame Delphine LaLaurie AHS: Freak Show (2014) - Ethel Darling AHS: Hotel (2015) -- Iris AHS: Roanoke (2016) -- The Butcher on the "My Roanoke Nightmare" TV show, and Agnes Mary Winstead, the woman who played the Butcher AHS: Apocalypse (2018) -- Miss Miriam Mess, and a cameo from Madame Delphine LaLaurie Now if you don't know of this talented woman, and want to look at the movies, and shows she's been in that I listed above, please do! You won't be disappointed P.S. - @Doot, I was inspired by your Sarah Michelle Gellar post

From last month, for Brazilian site Papelpop: Gaga has been not only an inspiration for me, but really a mentor for me in these ten years. She was always there supporting and guiding me through my deepest and most complicated moments in music. In fact, just yesterday I sent her a song, from my new album, and it was really cool to be able to talk to her about it. She has always been a great ally. Among the artists, she is the best. She understands that it is a huge opportunity to be an artist and go on stage, pick up the microphone and tell a story. This is something that I have applied to my music, since the beginning and especially now, at this point in my career. And I have still observed everything I do, especially how she has reinvented herself. And I think my favorite moment from “Chromatica” is the transition from “Chromatica II” to “911” and “Babylon”! https://www.papelpop.com/2020/07/greyson-chance-fala-de-vinda-ao-brasil-em-2021-disco-novo-e-historia-com-a-madrinha-lady-gaga/

Chromatica isn't cheap at all lmao. It's pretty cool and sleek. What album by a huge established artist has a concept or an album structured in such a way that its divided into sections? Its the only album that I know of in recent times where its designed to be listened from start to finish. People only say its cheap because its not their cup of tea. Which is fine, but its certainly not cheap. There are many straight people who love 90s/00s house and dance music, as well as the gays. But its not cheap just because you don't like that type of music. The same can't be said about the album that is your profile pic. That is the definition of cheap and uncool, and only appealing to the gays. The simple fact why Chromatica didn't have longevity is Gaga. She disappeared and didn't promote it. The pandemic was still at a high, and then right when she released, there was huge protests in which the attention was taken off Gaga/Chromatica. Despite this, it hasn't flopped and did amazingly well first week. It was the 4th biggest first week streams ever... so lets not act like it did poorly. Like @Doot said, Taylor Swift is easy to digest. Anything she puts out will sell well. Taylor had the advantage of releasing when tensions aren't as high with protests, and the pandemic fears/worries have subsided. She also did a suprise drop, which will increase sales because of how big Taylor is. You can't compare the two projects.

Released in late March, Break My Heart finally entered the top 15 on the Hot 100 with a new peak #14. Longevity! God why is the U.S. so slow if it had reached a new peak months ago we could've already been onto the next single in the U.S. Now give it a stream or at least stream it for the first 30 seconds so it can enter the top 10: While you're at it do the same for Kings & Queens, it should debut next week or the following on the Hot 100 which means RedOne will be charting again, currently #6 in Bubbling Under
