Death penalties have been proven to disuade jurors from reaching guilty verdicts. They can actually be a block on justice. And even when prosecutors are successful, as we see with this case appeals can stretch over decades to reach the final final decision. Which postpones justice for the victims as they spend those decades dragged through multiple courts relitigating the crime. So it can take decades to gain closure.

She’s got a great voice that is better than lot of the other pop girls. She has so much potential but really needs a whole new team. I like a few of her songs and know she is talented but she deserves to be more than the butt of the joke with samples and bland songs. I’ll take her any day over whatever country nonsense or nepo baby slop that’s dominating the charts these days.

I think Gaga’s only really good acting was in ASIB, but she was basically playing herself. She was better in Joker than in HOG, imo, but I don’t think she was particularly good in that either so Ariana but I think we’ve seen more of Ariana’s acting than Gaga’s, so maybe Gaga can get better at it.

Actually, executions are typically several times as expensive as life time incarceration. Keeping someone in prison for 50 years might cost $500,000 to $1 million while just the drugs alone that are used for lethal injection might be marked up to $1 million due to their scarcity. Not to mention the insanely high cost of keeping someone on death row, which is maximum security. It's cheaper to let them rot in prison The only reason I don't support it is 'cause it's the ultimate permanent punishment and people have been found innocent after being executed. You can't resurrected an innocent victim of wrongful execution. And you might say "well, make an exception for people like this one" but the penal system has a funny way of "just making an exception" into hurting a lot of people who don't deserve it. There's just no good justification for the death penalty and that's before you get to any moral or ethical arguments.

Reminds me of that time when people were dragging Billie for performing with Bieber. I feel like it's impossible to work in this industry with only likeminded people. I know people like Zara and Billie don't always check what people they work with believe and what they do and don't support but people love to put them on pedestal for being "woke queens".

You need to take everything into account tho. she has not only continuously put out QUALITY albums and singles, but she is the true definition of sticking to your guns and rising from the ashes. after she left her label, sure it was a rocky road, but the drive, determination and passions for MUSIC she has, has always been so clear. I’m so happy for her, and this album only proves that at this moment not many other (independent) artists can combine multiple genres and make it their own style : from rnb to dance to hiphop to hyperpop she really is the ultimate package and IM SO HAPPY TO FINALLY SEE REAL RECOGNITION !!

Gaga has inserted a lot of herself into every role she took – for better or worse. I'm looking forward to the moment where she can let a character completely take charge of her. I think she has to learn to let go of things that make her comfortable as an actress in order to become great. No music, no Freddie and Sarah, no fashion. No one was really wearing latex like that before Gaga stepped onto the scene (largely thanks to the designer Atsuko Kudo who pioneered latex fashion), and then suddenly you had the likes of Kim Kardashian etc and so many others embracing it. Gaga truly re-envisioned what it meant to be a popstar in the 21st century. The number of young designers who were given their big break simply because Gaga wore their pieces is endless. And I also have to add that Gaga was one of the rare pop stars who designers/fashion houses would actually open their archives for. Something that was practically unheard of back then. She had access to pieces that most artists simply didn’t. There's a reason why she's the first popstar to win the CFDA fashion icon award and she did that only 3 or 4 years into her career. She genuinely is and will forever be THAT bitch!

Those two songs are so incredibly emotionally stirring, well written, fantastically produced, and autobiographical.
